Overview:
Have an enchanting experience with a magic team-building challenge run by expert professional magicians. Your team will gain an insight into the most challenging types of magic whilst learning seemingly 'impromptu' effects like making use of everyday items. This hands-on interactive workshop will develop and make use of a number of skills including dexterity, psychology, presenting and acting. The day is significantly beneficial in terms of stress management and building confidence whilst stimulating creativity and interpersonal skills.
What it involves:
Introduction
The professional magicians will meet and greet guests and then perform the tricks that the group will go on to learn.
Teaching tricks
Delegates will learn how to perform various psychological magical tricks using business cards, cards, rope, coins and bottles. They will also learn the art of magical problem solving and pseudo mind - reading tricks that magicians use.
Creative script writing and performance
The group is split into two teams. Each team picks two tricks they have learnt and then writes a ‘patter' or presentation for their chosen tricks. Teams then perform the ‘magic act'.
Finale
Throughout the activity, points are awarded for originality, magic skills and performance. Magic prizes are awarded at the end of the session.
