Overview:
Gas guzzling, tarmac hogging, all-terrain 4x4's are everywhere, brazenly bullying the roads and boldly defying any obstacles thrown their way. Well, kind of.
Realistically the biggest things these beasts are likely to feel under their hulking masses are the humps of sleeping policemen or the cracking bones of Greenpeace activists.
We reckon it's about time these powerful machines spat out the Tesco's shopping and got put to the test in their intended environment. This is your chance to grab the wheel and put a top of the range Land Rover Discovery through its paces.
Even the most experienced drivers will be tested to the limit - crossing rivers, climbing sandy hills and struggling through muddy ravines, you'll realise just how much these powerful vehicles can handle.
Format:
Initially we'll throw groups of 3 in each Land Rover and let an experienced and slightly deranged adrenaline junkie of a driver demonstrate why safety belts were invented. Once you've loosened the grip on on your mates thigh and wiped away your tears, you'll all get 10 minutes driving time each to thrash the monster over the terrain and really kick up some dirt.
