Overview:
Attempting to fly, trying to be invisible in a female fitting room and pulling a fit 15-year-old are all very high on the list of 'stag do don'ts'. Why? Because the chances of getting killed doing the second two are higher than Woody Harrelson in Amsterdam and an almost certainty if partaking in the first. But if you're gonna do something mental at least do it with a safety parachute attached. Paragliding is the closest thing to flying that you will ever experience without meeting a grisly death.
You'll get strapped to a paraglider, jump off the side of a mountain and speed through the through the air. For those who like their thrills in high altitude packages this is the ultimate aerial experience, and definitely not for the faint-hearted.
Paragliding - The facts:
If you don't know what the difference is between a paraglider and a parachute read on: Paragliding canopies consist of a row of cells, most of them open at the front and all of them closed at the back. Moving through the air keeps them inflated as air enters in the front but can't get out the back. The cells form an aerofoil shape to produce lift, just like an aeroplane wing, so instead of just dropping slowly towards the earth you can control the direction of your flight and speed of descent. Clever stuff.
Format:
Everyone in the group will receive a full safety briefing from a professional instructor. All equipment is provided and the basics of paragliding explained. There are no fitness requirements for paragliding as it does not involve much physical exertion and it is relatively simple to learn the basics. As the pilot you will be maneuvering by using two toggles that control both direction and speed.

Note:
There is a weight minimum of 60kgs.
