Although we would not say Reading is the best Stag Do destinations in the country, we would say that Reading does have a hell of lot going for it. We would also recommend it over many other places, that may on the surface, seem a better options.

So what has Reading got going for it? It's main plus point has to be its location. Being just outside London, it is perfect for those coming from the capital who don't want to travel far. Activity wise it is up there with the best, with regard to variety and quality - it has excellent watersports and multi-activity centres, and along with top notch paintball and karting there are more unusual activities such as beer keg racing and sumo wrestling.

Nightlife wise it has got all the key essentials: comedy club, lap dancing and several reasonable nightclubs (All the bars along the newly developed waterfront complex make excellent summer drinking venues). Price wise its certainly going to make you a saving over other London centric locations such as Brighton, Bournemouth, Cambridge and Oxford - and probably more importantly, you are not going to be limited to having to have a minimum two night stay or locate yourself several miles from the city centre (as is all to often the case with the afore mentioned locations!).
