Overview:
Even if you're on a flying visit to the Czech Republic, you needn't confine yourself to staying in Prague. If you're a bit of a culture vulture then you'll love a day trip to historic Cesky Krumlov.
The old town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is famed for its Medieval, Renaissance and Baroque architecture and the 13th century Cesky Krumlov Castle, the largest castle outside of Prague. The River Vltava snakes through the town and completely surrounds the historical inner centre, making it an island.
You'll get return transport to the town and will have a couple of hours to take in the sights and sounds before heading home.
