Clay Pigeon Shooting - Nottingham

Clay Pigeon Shooting

Overview:
In the Bronze Age when a caveman spotted a woman he wanted to marry he would throw stones at her head until she was unconscious and then drag her back to his cave. When she awoke the man would cover her with an antelope fur and consummate the union. In the eyes of the law they were now man and wife.

Of course this often had its drawbacks and frequently the women would either die or become severely brain damaged and historians think this actually held back the evolution of the human race by several thousand years.

Clay pigeon shooting is a direct descendant of this ancient ritual, but today the birds you're aiming at will be made of clay and you won't have to marry them afterwards.
