Get the lads' competitive spirits fired-up by hitting this awesome outdoor karting track and determining once and for all who's the fastest on the tarmac.

The Track:
The 300m outdoor track is Blackpool's largest and features chicanes, hairpin turns, sharp bends and long straights. Each driver will be timed during their race and the results are displayed on an electronic leader board for all to see.

The Karts:
Ballsy Bullet Karts featuring unrestricted 200cc engines. The karts can hit speeds of 35mph, which is pretty swift when you consider that your arse is only a few inches from the ground!

Grand Prix Event:
The Grand Prix will test the driving skills of all involved, eventually whittling away the boys from the men until a final driving champion is revealed at the end of the session.

Groups are given a quick briefing and are decked out in overalls and helmets before hitting the track for some practice laps. Expect to be split into separate groups as approximately 4 karts will be racing on the track at any one time (this number will increase for larger groups).

The Race Format:
1 X 5 minute session of practice laps
4 X heats
2 X semi finals for 8 fastest drivers
1 X final for 6 fastest drivers

Drivers will be electronically timed to finally determine the fastest driver. The triumphant winner will receive a bottle of bubbly and a trophy, so expect plenty of smugness and bragging!

Duration:
Approximately 1.5 hours. Drivers can expect to get at least 25-30 minutes behind the wheel.

Endurance Team Event:
Test your concentration and stamina with this challenging endurance race. Drivers will get exclusive use of the 300m track during the race and will be split up into separate teams. Approximately 5 karts will be racing on the track at any one time (this number will increase for larger groups).

The Race Format:
Each team will select a kart and then participate in a few practice laps. A team leader will then be nominated and the format of the endurance race will be decided; it will be up to each team as to how much time in the kart/how many laps each driver will get.

Drivers will be timed and the team that has completed the most amount of laps at the end of the session will be deemed the winners and awarded a trophy and bottle of bubbly.

Duration:
Approximately 1.5 hours.

Notes:
- Hot food, snacks and hot & cold drinks are on sale at the venue.

The Karts:
Are 200cc single engine Biz karts which will reach 40mph on the straight.

The Track:
Is 400m long and features a straight, two hairpins and an s-bend section.

Format:

Open Grand Prix:
You'll need to allow enough time to get your group in and registered, as this will be a busy event! With a starting grid of 40 racers, an afternoon of close, competitive racing is assured. We run 7 – 8 karts on track at one time. The format of the event consists of 5 lap practice session, followed by each driver competing in a series of 4, exciting, fast paced 5 lap sprint heat races. All drivers proceed to the 8 lap semi-finals, with the top 10 drivers of the day qualifying for the 10 lap grand final. Trophies are awarded to the top three drivers, on the podium, at the end of the race.

Race Duration:
The event will last around 1 ½ hours.

Overview
Blackpool is renowned for it's thrillseekers - and no, we're not suggesting intense donkey rides on your stag do!
Instead, you'll be experiencing a team endurance race at the fastest outdoor kart circuit in the region. These burly twin Honda gx160 engine bearing karts can hit a menacing 60mph. Luckily, the 750m long track is perfect to keep you roaring along the straights and testing your limits on the bends.

Format
These races are ideal for getting a group who aren't entirely familiar with each other to bond and get in the spirit of the weekend. Teamwork, stamina and consistency are as important as outright speed.
Each team must make a designated number of stops. Each team has a ten minute practice session before the race commences to get use to their kart and the track conditions, the fastest will start at the front of the grid.
Once the race has started there are many viewing positions to view how the race is progressing as well as where individual teams are placed. At the end of the race each team will receive a print out showing every lap they have completed and finish position.

A prizegiving on the podium will take place after, with the top three teams receiving trophies and bubbly for the winning team to celebrate in true Formula 1 style.

Duration:
 - 1.5 hour race, including ten minute practice session.

Please arrive in good time for your event to attend the pre-race safety briefing and kitting up session.
In extreme weather conditions, the event may have to be rescheduled.
