The Subaru Impreza and the Mitsubishi Lancer both have four wheel drive and powerful turbo charged engines - which one would you want to grab the controls of and thrash through forest, over gravel and through streams? Choose either a Subaru Impreza WRX STi or Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 9, the workhorses of the WRC and the National Group N Rally Championships, and charge them across these specialised courses. The choice of car can make the difference between winning a championship and losing it!
Have you got the necessary skills to get the best out of these cars - or are you content to amble across the trails like a bow-legged baby deer trying to run away from an angry bear?
Each participant will drive a fully works-prepared Mitsubishi or Subaru rally car around the stage with the instructor who will teach the basic rally driving technique to suit the course surface. You will be able to put the car through it's paces to test the level of under steer , grip, acceleration and braking. You will be able to assess how good the car is - and let's be fair - it's not exactly going to be a 1974 Austin Allegro!
An optional extra for this experience is the 'High Speed Passenger Ride' - jump in the car with your instructor at the wheel, and experience your pants filling with cake as they tear around the tracks in a manner that'll crush any dreams you may have built up that you might just be good enough to be a rally driver! Ask us for details.
- Refreshments available from the Hospitality Truck and you will need to allow up to 1.5 hours at the venue.
- Safety briefing session with an instructor. The briefing does not include any out-of-car tuition
- You will be required to sign an activity form prior to participating on the experience.
Drivers are divided into groups of 4 to share the same cars and instructor throughout the experience.
- Start Times: 9.00am or 11.30am or 2.00pm - Arrive for Registration
Overview:Treat your group to a fantastic, action packed day of activities that they will remember long after the wedding is over. Mix and matching your activities means everyone has the chance of glory, including you and the stag!
So, you’ll not only have a much greater chance of becoming a champion but it will also keep you out of the pub that little bit longer, meaning the lightweights of the group are still on board for the evening’s festivities. Combine any of the activities on offer, all at the one site. Format:
Simply choose two activities from the list below and put the pedal to the metal!Powerturns:If you've ever watched pikeys pulling wheelspins and doughnuts in a supermarket car park and thought the moves were pretty cool, but dignity stopped you from kitting yourself out in Reebok and jumping behind the wheel of souped-up Nova, a session in a Powerturn will give you the chance to pull all of those moves and more. Powerturns are incredible fun and due to their unique configuration they have an unmatchable level of manoeuvrability. They are steered by the rear wheels which rotate at different speeds, so unless you master the steering quickly you could find yourself shooting up on two wheels at right angles! The two 200cc Honda engines run independently with right and left hand throttles so you can literally spin on the spot.
Hovercrafting:You may have been on a hovercraft on a booze cruise, but unless you beat down the door and grabbed the controls from the pilot on the way home, you've unlikely to have driven one. Well, that's about to change.
After getting kitted out in all of the essential gear and being given a safety briefing, you'll get behind the wheel of the craft and under the tuition of expert instructors you'll (hopefully) get the hang of the controls fairly quickly.
The hovercrafts have 50bhp, 500cc engines and are capable of speeds of up to 60 mph, so your driving skills will be tested to the limit. You'll race over a challenging purpose built course which requires deft handling and the ability to floor it when required. Hovercrafts don't have any brakes so if you make a mess of steering the results could be spectacular!
Off Road Karting:If you spend half your life stuck in traffic, or drive a Fiat Uno, this is your chance to fulfil your need for speed with some high octane off road karting.
These 400cc off road beasts are capable of speeds of up to 60 mph and have front and rear suspension, which will no doubt be put fully to the test as you career around the circuit!
Depending on the size of your group you'll race either head to head, in a team relay challenge or in time trails.
Included in all events:- Instructors- Safety briefing- All equipmentDuration:Allow at least 2.5 hours for this activity.Notes:Please bring a change of footwear and wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty.
OverviewThis superb outdoor centre is the ideal place to try your hand at karting. The circuit is exhilaratingly quick and can be used in wet or dry weather. The computerized system incorporated into the karts will provide lap times, average speeds and other race data.
Grand PrixBetween 12 and 40 drivers can take part in this event. Once booked, you will be required to sign on at the agreed time & after the drivers briefing you will get underway with a 5 minute practice session. Six 8-lap heats will follow for each driver with the top 6 drivers progressing to a 10-lap final. With six karts in each heat, each driver will get a chance to start from every position in the grid so no one gains an unfair advantage. A presentation in the fully licensed bar will follow with trophies for the top three drivers. NotesFor smaller groups 'arrive and drive' is available. If someone would like an alternative format to the ones above, please phone us for an alternative quote.
Overview:Do you like football? Do you like humans? Do you like tables? If so, a game of human table football will press all the right buttons.
You've played table football in the pub, now imagine an 55ft x 25ft inflatable pitch with you as one of the players! You play in teams of 6, attached to bars with velcro so you can only move sideways- excellent if you're good on the ball but chronically unfit! Your communication and coordination skills will have to be top notch as you can only move side-to-side in rows, crab style.
You can make substitutions throughout the game, so employ some squad rotation to keep everybody happy.
Included:- All protective equipment (helmet, gloves and overalls)
Overview: The instructors take pride in introducing novices to this exciting sport, with the aim of making you a top marksman by the end of the session (well, able to hit the thing anyway). The session will involve using several different types of trap (this affects the path, speed and direction of way the clay flies to simulate the movement of different types of animal, from a duck dropping onto a pond, to bounding rabbits and cross flying pigeons). A scoring system is incorporated into the event, to build up the element of competition and provoke after match banter. Includes: Price includes 30 targets each. (15 practice & 15 competitive)
Duration: Allow approximately 2 hours
Notes: Food and refreshments are available from an excellent pub located just 100 metres from the shooting ground.
If you’re looking for an activity to make the weekend memorable, or something to bring together a group of stags who don’t all know each other , then cocktail making, or mixology as it’s called, is the perfect solution.
Experienced, professional and friendly mixologists will take you step by step through the history of cocktails and then show you how to make three of the classics, before handing you the bottles and letting your imagination and creativity run wild.
As you experiment under expert guidance as to what works and what doesn’t, you’ll start to appreciate a whole new art form and most excitingly develop skills which you can then hone with friends and family in the years to come.
Each group will have one or more cocktail ambassadors who will brief you on the day's activities before giving a short introductory talk on the history of the cocktail and the origin of the word. You get to toast the host with some flavoured vodka shots too!
The ambassador will then make an introduction shot for the group where he/she will explain what all of the bar tools are used for. If you don't know the difference between a Hawthorn strainer and a Boston shaker, you'll find out.
Everyone then makes a classic cocktail behind the bar, and in turn, gets a second trip to the other side of the taps to make a classic cocktail of their choice from the menu - Woo Woos, Cosmos, even Bond Martinis!
The event will end with a mini quiz with two free cocktail vouchers each on offer for the winning team. To soak up some of the alcohol, your group will also have a couple of food platters to munch on, with a wide variety of finger food.

Overview:It's very hard to beat a good day at the races and if you win, it's even better.
The atmosphere at a race track is always amazing whether you're dressed in your Sunday best in the members' enclosure sipping bubbly or staying casual and snacking on hotdogs all day.

This indoor track, one of the biggest and best in the north of England, is a challenging 550m monster with a 90m straight, tunnels, a bridge and an underpass. You will tear up the tarmac in 270cc Sodi GT5 karts - tested weekly to match them for speed - unleashing your inner speed demon as you go for the gold.
The endurance race format is a team event (generally 2-3 to a team), the object being to cover the greatest number of laps in the allotted time. All teams ill be on the track at the same time so overtaking, pit stops and strategy play a huge part in determining the eventual winner.

Overview:If someone says 'Archer', what do you think of? The biggest liar and worst novelist since the beginning of time, or a man shooting a bow and arrow? Well, whatever you think, fill your quiver full of arrows and nail some bullseyes.Archery doesn't score highly in the glamour stakes, but when it comes to fun factor it's close to the top of the list. Always great to get some friendly rivalry going amongst your group, you'll be able to shoot until your arm falls off... not literally, but you be able to shoot plenty of arrows. Top shot gets the bragging rights, worst shot gets the beers in.Included:- Expert tuition- Safety briefing- All equipment
The Buggies:These cars have a powerful 400cc engine linked to an automatic gearbox, in a chassis with a full roll-cage and all-round spring suspension making them very forgiving for the first-timer and a lot of fun for everybody. There are only two pedals for stop and go. It's just driver and machine against opponents and terrain, leaving you to concentrate on steering your way around the challenging circuit in front of you.
The Race Format:The initial instruction and safety briefing is followed by a couple of practice laps to get the driver used to the track. Each driver then competes in 4 timed races of 7 laps each, with 4 buggies competing in any individual race (the middle 5 laps in between a warm up lap and a warm down lap). To prevent a mass pile up on the first corner, each kart sets off a split second after the previous kart (all karts will have left the start line within a couple of seconds each other). To allow for any slight differentiation in kart performance, each driver swaps karts at the beginning of each race, so every driver will have driven in each of the karts in 1 race. A grand final is then set up for the fastest drivers from the pre-final race heats, with a bottle of bubbly for the winner.
The Track:The track is specifically designed to get the most out of the buggies while providing extreme racing in a safe environment. The dirt track incorporates bumps, humps, banked corners and jumps (where catching air is part of the game). Included:All safety equipment.
Notes:Track length = 400 metres.Hot food is available on site.
Duration:Allow approximately 2.5 – 3 hours.
Numbers:Minimum number of 16 people for exclusive race.

Mention the words ‘greyhound racing' and, for many, it conjures up thoughts of old men in flat caps, jellied eels, dodgy burger vans and perhaps a bit of low level skulduggery on the side.
This may have been the case in the past, but ‘the dogs' have reinvented themselves with plush restaurants, corporate entertainment facilities, private boxes and clean, well run bars.
Plenty of characters are still to be found trackside however and nothing tastes sweeter than a few foaming pints of lager purchased courtesy of that hapless bookie you and the lads pole-axed when the black dog railed up strongly to snatch the last race.

Two drinks from the "trap six" bar
