Zorbing is one of the most unusual and popular extreme sports to come to the UK courtesy of our Antipodean friends in New Zealand. The Zorb is a gigantic inflatable pvc ball, about three meters in height, containing another, smaller ball suspended into position by a thousand-plus nylon threads. There is a small cone-like entrance hole through which you - and possibly also a partner - need to squeeze into and harness up.
The thrill sets in as you are launched from the ramp and descends downhill, obtaining speeds up to of 50-60 km/h. Or alternatively you can try Hydro Zorbing - aka the wash cycle. You, the Zorb, no harness and two buckets of water. The only water sport on land, it's a cross between a roller coaster and a waterfall. Try two or more inside the Hydro-zorb together for a great bonding experience. If you're hungover ask for really cold water.
