Overview:
Grip on tight and get ready to experience one of the most exhilarating water sports known to man – the mighty Zapcat! Feel the awesome power and handling of these amazing inflatable speed machines. They pull 3G turns around the marker buoys of a race track and such is the intensity of the ride that 5 minutes at full pace will physically feel like an hour!
The Format:
After an instructional briefing the group will kit out in drysuits, life jackets and helmets as safety is a paramount consideration on this activity.
From there you’ll head off on a high speed thrill ride around the buoy marked racetrack out in the harbour. With a pro-driver at the controls participants assume the co-pilots station in the bow of the craft with responsibility for balancing it around the high speed turns. Expect to be pulling 90 and 180 degree changes of direction at more than 40mph! Rides operate in 10 minute blocks and each person can expect a minimum of 20 minutes ride time. Depending upon sea conditions (and the safety officer’s discretion) you may also be offered the chance to drive one of the boats.
