Let’s be fair, Germany’s had a bit of a bad rep in the past, what with all the crippling inflation, making it impossible to buy a loaf of bread without a wheelbarrow-full of deutschemark notes, not to mention that whole 1939-1945 scenario... Nowadays, the Germans have pulled their act together, and evolved into an efficient country with a vibrant culture pervading the atmosphere many of the major cities, a friendly atmosphere, and a multitude of different bars within the cities and towns. Germany is a cracking location for a stag weekend! It’s a land of dilemmas – do you go for the beer, one of the country’s best-loved pastimes, and the reason for one of the biggest worldwide parties in western culture – Oktoberfest, that is. On the other hand, do you go for the wine – one of the best-loved exports of German culture, and responsible for much of the countryside’s ubiquitous vineyards that all contribute to an elegant appearance.
