Overview:
Perthshire has access to some of the finest white water rafting in the UK. Each of the available routes is hand picked from a range of river sections to allow all levels of rafting throughout the year. If you want to experience white water rafting in its true form (rather than a mellow ride down a manmade course), then this is the place to do it. Stunning scenery is thrown into the bargain. There are several locations available:

River Tummel:
The main part of the trip is grade 2-3, preparing you for the 'piece de la resistance': a two tier, 18 foot drop (grade 4) into the mystical Loch Faskally where you will float away from the falls towards home.
- This option runs from June - September.

River Tay:
This trip is about three miles in distance and starts from the old market town of Aberfeldy. Here the river winds lazily along the Tay valley, through rolling hills and stunning scenery. This is an area with diverse wildlife which is best seen from the river. The paddle crew has ample opportunity to practice their newly learnt rafting skills before the river drops away and creates challenging rapids that flow down to Grandtully. Rapids such as 'Zoom Flume' and 'The Washing Machine' will definitely keep people on their toes! Grandtully rapids is where the trip ends. This is the longest rapid on the river and provides one or two surprises for the unwary rafter.

Overview:
Get ready for a rip-roaring river descent using purpose built inflatable rafts. The river's descents vary in severity, with all grades of rapid being run. The river grading system runs from 1-6, with 1 being the gentlest and 6 being absolute madness. This activity centre runs rivers up to grade 5.

The rivers were once the domain of highly experienced kayakers, but due to the advancement in the development of inflatable rafts and the intensive training of guides it has opened the rivers up to just about anyone who wishes to take part in this exhilarating activity. No previous experience is necessary, as each raft is helmed by a qualified guide who will teach you the basic skills you require and guide you safely down the river.

River Tay:
The River Tay begins its course in the village of Kenmore where it flows out of Loch Tay. There are several tributaries which run into the loch, but they have different names (Rivers Fillan, Dochart and Lochay). The river is already quite large by normal standards. It has a typical flow in excess of 100 cubic meters per second in Kenmore. By the time it reaches Perth, the River Tay has the highest flow of any river in the UK. In fact more water goes down the Tay than both the Thames and the Severn combined!

River Tummel:
This river starts its life 60 miles to the west of Pitlochry on the windswept Rannoch Moor close to Glencoe. It begins as the River Ba and runs east passing through numerous lochs including Loch Ba, Loch Laidon, Loch Eigheach, Loch Rannoch, Dunalastair Water, Loch Tummel and finally Loch Faskally, until it reaches the main stem of the River Tay at Ballinluig. The river has some fun technical rapids such as the Zig Zag, Bone Yard and Shark Tooth. The final drop is 18 foot so make sure you’re holding on tight!

Notes:
- You will need to bring a swimming costume, a towel, a long sleeved sweatshirt or jumper that you don’t mind getting wet for water activities.
- You will be provided with a wetsuit, wetsuit boots, cagoule, buoyancy aid, and helmet for water activities.
- The site is around a 90min drive from Edinburgh. Transport is not included, but can be at an extra cost. Please ask for details.

Duration:
- Each activity is run as a half day that lasts for approximately 3 hours. Two activities can be combined for a full day.
