Overview:
Budding Jenson Buttons can fulfil their need for speed with an afternoon's karting. Push your kart and driving skills to the limit without having to worry about the prospect of points on your licence. Put the pedal to the metal and go full throttle as there are no fines for speeding- it's positively encouraged!
Format:
On arrival you're be kitted out in race wear and given a full briefing by the circuit officials. Once you've warmed the tyres and discussed tactics with your pit crew, it'll be race time. Prove your racing credentials and end those ‘Who's the best driver?' arguments once and for all.
You'll have a ten minute practice session, followed by a 50 lap race. If there are more than 15 of you in the group, the race will be turned into a Grand Prix style format, with a final for the top qualifiers. The winner gets a trophy, too - perfect addition to the bragging rights eh?
The Karts:
The Karts are purpose-designed for indoor racing and are Sodi RX7's, with adjustable seats and pedals for maximum comfort.
The Circuit:
The 420m indoor circuit in Kirkcaldy is currently the largest in Scotland. The superbly equipped all weather facility enables you to experience the thrill and excitement of real motorsport. Other facilities include driver changing rooms, a café, amusement machines and pool table and spectator galleries affording excellent views of the racing.
What's provided:
All safety equipment required such as crash helmets, race gloves and overalls are provided.
