Overview:
This championship standard clay pigeon centre is set in 50 acres of beautiful Lancashire woodland which is ideal terrain for a top quality shooting session.

Assuming that you are a novice group, your fully qualified CPSA instructor will start your group on a simple going away bird as you learn the basics of tracking the bird and timing your shot. As you get the hang of it, your group will rotate through a variety of traps, each mimicking the movement of a different type of game.

The tensions will build as the competition heats up and the key to success will be your ability to keep cool on the pressure shots (so a well timed sledge or two to your mates could make all the difference!)

A variety of guns are available to suit all sizes and lighter load cartridges can be used if requested to minimize recoil so everyone can happily enjoy this fun and exciting sport.

Should you choose the 50 Clay Option, there will be 25 Clays warm-up, and a 25 shoot competition.
The winner of this comp will win a trophy, and the stag will get a printed photograph of the group, while the rest will recieve the image via e-mail after the event.  

Duration:
Approximately two hours for a 25 bird shoot or three hours for a 50 bird shoot.

Overview:
Under the guidance of experienced instructors, participants will learn the skill of shooting clays which is definitely not something that's as easy as it looks!

Format:
Groups will meet for a full briefing and safety talk from a qualified instructor before heading out on the shoot. After some practice shots everyone will be split up into teams of approximately 6 and the competition will commence; the instructor's mission being to have everyone hitting the clays accurately in as short a time as possible. Everyone will have the chance to shoot 25 clays at a number of stands. The stands will fire the clays from a multitude of positions to test your shooting skills, each mimicking the flight of different birds (for example: duck, pigeon or woodcock). Everyone's efforts will be scored and the best shooter will be revealed at the end of the session.

Duration:
Approximately 2 hours, depending on the group size.

- Sandwiches and hot drinks served on Saturdays. Food can be pre-arranged during the week.

- The site features an undercover area that can seat up to 50.

The Site:
Spread over 200 acres, this dedicated activity centre is based in the enchanting Cheshire countryside, only a short drive from Chester, Liverpool and Manchester. Facilities include meeting room for 30 people, a fully licensed bar and the activities, which are all ideally suited to the wooded backdrop, are superb. Enjoy the best of both worlds with a multi-activity day of Quad Trekking and Clay Pigeon Shooting.

Clay Pigeon Shooting:
Forget horse racing, this is the real sport of kings. With a fully qualified instructor, you will rotate through a variety of traps (so named because originally they contained real pigeons). You will take part in a 20 clay taster session. The instructors are well-versed at dealing with novices and will quickly have you blasting the clays to smithereens on the traps.

Quad Trekking
You will set out in groups of 8-10 to take on the challenging terrain around the 200 acre site that will really put these machines, and you, to the test.

This is not some genteel scenic tour of the countryside but an intense examination of your concentration and ability to master the techniques needed to negotiate steep inclines and drops, streams and fast dashes through open fields and woodland.

This is what quads are really designed for and makes for a top activity.
