Choose 3 activities from the following:
Quad Biking:
After getting kitted out with a helmet, the instructors will give you a safety briefing put you through your paces with a practice session. Once the instructors are satisfied everyone has got the hang of the basics, you'll head off into the woods in small groups led by an instructor.
The twisting course runs through 100 acres of woodland and includes streams, muddy holes, bogs, steep banks and extreme slopes all of which you'll ride through, up, down and round.
Honda Pilots:
These are the original racing buggies. The 400cc engines propel the machines around at speeds in excess of 60mph, and could not be simpler to drive as they are fully automatic. The Pilots have a full roll cage and race harness and you'll also be wearing a crash helmet so you won't come to any harm if you spin off the track.
After a safety briefing you will each have several practice laps to get the hang of the course, and then compete in a cat and mouse format against each other followed a one lap timed competition.
Clay Pigeon Shooting (£10pp supplement if chosen):
Your team will get a full safety briefing from the instructors before being let loose with a double barrel shotgun. Everyone will get a chance to have a practice with the weapons before going head-to-head in a competition.
Clays will be fired from a variety of traps which replicate the movement of different animals. You'll have to have a sharp eye as you blast away at swooping birds and bounding rabbits. If you really get the hang of shooting, try blasting two clays in succession from a double trap.
Powerturns:
Powerturns are incredible fun and due to their unique configuration they have an unmatchable level of manoeuvrability. They are steered by the rear wheels which rotate at different speeds, so unless you master the steering quickly you could find yourself shooting up on two wheels at right angles! The two engines 200cc Honda engines run independently with right and left hand throttles so you can literally spin on the spot.
The event takes place on a challenging grass circuit which you'll have to negotiate around in as quick a time as possible.
Jeep Trials:
If you think you're a good driver, your skills will be tested to their limits with a Jeep trial through a treacherous woodland course. You need skill and nerves of steel, so if you're up for the challenge get behind the wheel of a Suzuki 4x4 off roader.
After a safety briefing, the experienced instructors will walk you through the specially designed course giving you tips on how best to negotiate the numerous muddy climbs, slopes and gullies. Penalties are incurred for errors so you need to avoid getting stuck, reversing or flatting any of the course markers.
Speed and concentration are the key to a successful trial as you career around the stomach-churning course, which will give you a huge sense of achievement when you complete it.
Blindfold Jeep Driving:
If you're wearing a blindfold you may think that the last thing you should be doing is getting behind the wheel of a Suzuki Jeep, but just because you can't see doesn't mean you can't drive!
You'll be directed through the obstacle course by a co-driver against the clock. If you've got a backseat driver in your team, this is one time when they can put their annoying skills to good use. Just remember, if they start screaming it's probably time to slam on the brakes!
This is a great test of teamwork and builds trust, as well as being absolutely hilarious fun!
Archery:
Robin Hood's favourite sport may lack the glamour of some activities, but always scores highly in the fun stakes.
After a safety briefing, you'll be armed with a longbow and under the watchful eye of a qualified instructor you'll be taught all of the tricks of the trade. If you've got good hand-eye coordination you'll hopefully be able to nail a few bullseyes. If however you have none, just make sure there's nobody within 50ft of the target!
Grass Autotesting:
Improve your driving skills and have brilliant fun while you're at it. If you've driven on icy roads and have felt yourself losing control of your car, you'll be taught how to handle a car on a grass track version of a skidpan where there is very little traction, meaning the car will drift and skid.
With a professional grass autotesting driver in the passenger seat, each participant will get one-on-one tuition on how to hurl the cars round the tight, twisty course, mastering handbrake turns and reverse flicks. Situations are simulated on the grass track and drivers will have the opportunity to try out the normal method of braking, cadence braking and all the new techniques learnt.
Reverse Steer Jeep Driving:
If you don't know your left from your right, this is the only event where it might actually work in your advantage! You'll be behind the wheel of Jeep where the steering has been reversed- you turn right, the Jeep turns left and visa versa. This may not sound too tricky in theory, but trust us you'll have to fight all of your natural instincts to get the Jeep to go where you want it to.
After a briefing from instructors, you'll get behind the wheel of the vehicle with another member of your team in the passenger seat giving directions. You will drive over an off-road course which features plenty of twists and turns. If you can master the steering early you can clock a really quick time, however if you struggle you may find yourself leaving a trail of flattened cones in your wake!
This activity is a real test of concentration and composure. When the clock is ticking and your passenger is barking instructions will you be able to remain cool and steer the Jeep down the right track?
Target Shooting:
Are you good at hitting targets? Well, you may be a hotshot in the office, but how good will you be armed with an air gun?
After a safety briefing from the instructors you'll have a practice session so everyone can familiarise themselves with the weapons. You'll be blasting away with a 22 calibre air rifle fitted with telescopic sight and an 8 shot .177 pistol with laser 'red dot guidance', so hopefully you should be nailing targets in no time.
Once everyone is up to speed, you'll go head to head in direct competition. Steady hands, a cool head and composure under pressure are essential as everyone will want to be the hottest shot in their group.
