Overview:
A meadowland site on the edge of a wood in south Essex represents an ideal opportunity to have a crack at this country set pursuit, all in easy reach of the bars and clubs of downtown London. A train ride from Liverpool St takes 35 mins and the station is only a £5 cab ride from the grounds. 

Guns Blazing:
Novices and old hands alike are well catered for with qualified instructors at the ready to take you through the basics and then to further hone your marksmanship. You will start on a couple of simple ‘straight up’ practice  targets (20) to get the hang of things as you learn to track the bird and how to time your shots. Later in the session you will move on to shooting 2 targets at the same time which will serve to sort out the cowboys from the Indians.

The tensions will build as the competition begins and the key to success is your ability to keep cool on the pressure shots.  All's fair in love and war so bear in mind that a well timed sledge directed at your mate just after he has missed a clutch target might just be enough to crack him.  Things like, “Err, it's black and it's round’” or “Come on, leave some sky for the rest of us to shoot at”, are proven game breakers.  Prizes for the best and worst, will be awarded at the end of the day.

Notes:
No food, drink or toilets (trees aside) are available on site but there are several country style pubs close at hand.

Groups are welcome to take along their own packed lunch & drinks (no alcohol) on the day.

This is a superb shooting range with all the facilities you would expect from a competition facility. You will be greeted with tea & coffee and a bacon roll before moving on to the main event. There are a wide range of guns available to suit all statures and the instruction level is kept to one instructor for every 4-5 people to ensure that you have maximum tuition.

Location:
This is probably the best professional shooting ground in the east of England. With 4 separate sporting layouts and a full undercover shooting stand, this site was used as the training ground for the 2000 Olympic Team. The site also boasts one of the few Helice target rings in the UK. The site has been superbly designed for all standards from complete beginner through to Olympic standard.

Clay Pigeon Shooting:
You will be coached throughout the session by an expert tutor who will advise you in all aspects of the sport and hopefully turn you into a ‘pro' by the end of the event (well make sure you can at least hit the clay anyway!). A sporting layout will be designed for your group where you will shout a range of different types of trap. Each type of trap throws the clay in a different direction, speed and angle, to simulate different ‘game', from bounding rabbits, through to diving duck and driven pheasant.

Included:
- 30 clays and cartridges per person.

Facilities:
The site is a full equipped shooting ground, with its own club house, shop and on site parking. Food ranging from English breakfast through to sandwiches and crisps is available from the club house.

Durations:
30 clay shoot: approximately 1.5 hours.

The event is split down into two sections: you will start off with a 25 clay instructed shoot and after you have hopefully learned the basics you will then enter a 25 clay competition with the rest of your group.
