Bradford Off Road Triple Blast

Overview:
Saddle up for a day of outdoor action at one of the UK's best activity centres. Based in Sheffield, the site offers pretty much everything that a high octane weekend could possibly need. If you can't find something here that pushes your buttons then you'd better check for a pulse!

Choose 3 of the activities listed below:

Rage Buggy Racing:
Burn rubber behind the wheel of a feisty rage buggy. The 614cc buggies are capable of speeds in excess of 60mph and come equipped with a full suspension system and roll cage so put the pedal to the metal and have your mates eating your dirt!

After getting kitted out in all of the relevant equipment and having a safety briefing from a instructors, you'll kit the track. You'll race in a team relay format with one kart on the track whilst the other is in the pits.

You'll be racing against each other and against the clock and each driver will complete between 10 and 12 laps of the track. The buggies provide a truly exhilarating ride and once you put your foot to the floor you'll be pinned to your seat with the adrenaline pumping!

Hovercrafts:
Like steering a large bar of soap over an expanse of clingfilm, these speedy crafts are enormous fun to drive erratically. Initial control can be hilariously tricky and the craft can seem to have a mind of its own.

The trick is to crank up power and use your thrust, rudder and body weight to regain control before you say hello to a tree and get a face full of bark.

With impressive ground clearance there's plenty of opportunity to experience the frictionless fun of these nifty vehicles.

Quad Trekking:
Enjoy the mud and thunder of a high octane quad biking session.

After a safety briefing from the instructors you will jump on board the quads and have 3 laps of the practice track to familiarise yourself with the bikes. Once the instructor is happy that everyone is up to speed, you'll head out in groups of 4 on a challenging trek through woodland, steep inclines and water hazards.

The 125cc quads are capable of speeds of up to 45 mph and each rider will get around 25 minutes on the quads which is more than enough time to open up the throttles and leave your mates trailing in your wake.

Mini Quads:
Have a short guy in your group? Mini quads is a great way for you to constantly tell him that he looks normal on it as you all have your knees up near your ears.

Like some type of circus routine, this is both extreme and loads of fun.

4x4 Off Road Driving:
Career across the countryside behind the wheel of a powerful 4x4 vehicle. If the closest you've come to going off road is losing control of your car and ending up in a ditch down a country lane, get behind the wheel and go full throttle.

Your experienced instructor will give you a full safety briefing and brief demonstration before letting you loose behind the wheel of a Land Rover Discovery. You'll drive in groups of 4, with everyone getting just over 10 minutes behind the wheel.

If you've never driven anything more powerful than a Fiat Panda, expect to have your driving skills pushed to the limit as you drive a through a testing course of steep slopes, water, banks and tight turns. There are poles to avoid on either side of the course, so keep your eyes on the track, listen carefully to the instructor and avoid racking up the penalties!

Blindfold Driving:
Blind people have been banned from driving since the 1950s. Frankly, they were a hazard on the road and caused an unbelievable number of accidents. However, on private land, under the guidance of expert instructors, it's perfectly legal to drive even if you can't see!

In groups of 4 you'll jump behind the wheel of a Land Rover Discovery and take it in turns to don a blindfold and have a go at navigating around the tricky off road course. Each person will get just over 10 minutes behind the wheel.

If you've been accused of being a backseat driver in the past, you'll be able to put those skills to good use. The driver will be totally disorientated so it's up to the rest of the team to direct. However this is easier said than done as helpful words like 'left', 'right', and 'stop' will be banned and replaced with other less obvious monikers. However it's fair to say if your friends start screaming, it's probably time to hit the brakes!

Can you make it around the course without flattening any of the circuit markers?

Powerturn Buggies:
The powerturn is a type of vehicle providing maximum fun with maximum safety. It's two drive wheels are powered at different speeds by two engines to make the Powerturn turn.

With independent front suspension and two Honda 6.5 HP Engines (200cc each), disc brakes, torque converter drive, this whacky vehicle can do well over 30mph, then flip into 360 degree ‘wheelie’ spins.

Archery, Crossbow Shooting or Target Shooting:
You may be handy with a gun, but how accurate will your shooting be with more traditional weapons? You'll find out in this archery and crossbows session.

You'll be armed with a longbow and under the watchful eye of a qualified instructor you'll be taught all of the tricks of the trade. If you've got good hand-eye coordination and a keen eye you'll hopefully be able to nail a few bull's eyes. If, however, you're lacking in both departments, just make sure there's nobody within 50ft of the target!

You fire off a few practice arrows so everyone has a chance to get their eyes in, after which you'll go head-to-head in a 6 arrow shootout.

If archery isn't violent enough for you then a crossbow shooting session should fit the bill. Crossbows are serious weapons and have the potential to do a lot of damage, so no messing around!

After a safety briefing, the instructors will give you a crash course in how to handle the crossbow, after which you'll be let loose with the weapon. You'll be firing solid bolts at targets, so imagine you're aiming at your most hated enemy and blast him/her into the middle of next week!

Included:
- Safety briefing
- Instructors
- All equipment

Duration:
Each activity will last just 45 minute to 1 hour

Notes:
- Start times are at either 10am or 1pm
- Groups over 10 will be split into teams and will rotate through the activities.

Excellent fun, the hovercrafts were a bit technical, as was the course, so difficult to master in the short time we had available. Rage and Quad bike were great!
