Overview:
RIB's (Rigid Inflatable Boats) are the top of the pile when it comes to recreational speed boating, and there's no better place to test them out than in and around the spectacular Poole Harbour. The second largest natural harbour in the world, this locale is perfect for a variety of top-notch watersports. There are various pick-up points available including Ridge Wharf Yacht marina on the River Frome, Dolphin Haven marina on Poole Quay - all within easy reach of the Solent, Heritage coastline and beyond.
The Boats:
Get on board a 7.5 metre Sports RIB powered by a Yamaha 200hp engine which seats up to 10 passengers (additional boats can be arranged for larger groups).
Water-skiing & Wakeboarding:
The RIB departs for the water-ski zone within Poole Harbour, an ideal area due to its sheltered location. You get the chance to try water-skiing or wakeboarding with top tips from the skipper to ensure you get up fast and stay up!
Duration:
The activity lasts 3hrs.
Notes:
- Full safety briefings, issuing of lifejackets and waterproofs take place at the start point before taking to the water.
- Other start points and destinations within the Solent are available.
- These trips are not suitable for anyone with serious back, neck or knee injuries, due to the fast bumpy ride and impact landings after jumping waves.
- These boats are designed to cope with very adverse sea conditions, however for safety reasons trips may be postponed to a later date.
- Available from Mid April - October.
- All equipment including skis, wakeboard, wetsuits and buoyancy aids are included in the price.
