Overview
There's nothing quite like a bit of head-to-head rivalry with your mates. They say that nice guys come last, so the question is: do you have the competitive instinct and controlled aggression needed to finish first? Or are you happy to look down the tailpipe of your pal as he passes the chequered flag? No one wants that on their record for future pub banter.
 
Forget about speed limits and points on your licence, put your foot to the floor and burn rubber around the one of the city's  great karting tracks. Karting was made for large groups and whether you are racing individually or in teams everyone’s eyes will be on the leader board to see who’s on top.

The new 450m circuit features tight hairpins, a double underpass and speedy straights- nail the high-speed corners and you'll be odds-on for a quick lap, get it wrong and you'll have a time that would embarrass your grandmother. Can you post a new lap record?

So suit up, strap in, grab the wheel and unleash the speed demon inside!

Format
Le Mans Race Format:
The race is conducted in a 75 minute non-stop endurance format in the style of Le Mans. You will be split into teams of 3 or 4. The team that completes the most laps at the end of the session is the winner, while those coming in last can expect to be slated for the rest of the weekend. There are usually 8 karts on the track at any one time. Endurance racing allows teams to choose how long each driver spends on the circuit. It's all about strategy, pit stops and teamwork.

Alternative Race Format:
On the rare occasions that there are not enough drivers to run the Le Mans Race you will have exclusive use of the track. The alternative race will be a 'Mini Grand Prix' - this replacement format will not compromise your driving time. You will be alerted in advance if this is the case.

Duration
- Event last 2.5 hours with briefing
- At least 30 mins racing time per driver

- Each member of the group will have to purchase a balaclava on site for £3.50

The Karts:
These Sodi GT2 Karts are all powered by 270cc Honda petrol engines. have rear hydraulic brakes and vented Disc.

The Track:
The snaking 360 meter outdoor track includes a chicane, hairpin, long straight and bridge.

Race Format:

Sprint 60
After a short briefing and choosing your racing suit you will take part in a 4 lap qualifying race to determine qualifying positions for the main event. The main event will be a full head-on race with the winner being the first driver to complete 60 laps. Your group will have exclusive use of the track!

Endurance
Run as a team event with each driver having to make pit stops to change over drivers. Each driver will get 60 laps of the track.

Mini Grand Prix
Based on the Formula One format of racing. Drivers will have 60 laps of driving each.

- Your group will have exclusive track hire
- Allow approximately 2 hours for this event, depending on group size.
- Please arrive 30 minutes before the race is due to start
- Precise race format will be decided on the day taking into consideration weather and group size.

Need for speed:
Clench your fists, grit your teeth, it's competition time. You'll be roaring round this brand spanking new, state-of-the-art 450m track on the fastest go-karts in the the UK. With a top speed of 45mph, these motorised vehicles kick the petrol out of the old style karts. The electrics allow instant acceleration and maximum speed in the minimum time for a cheek-rippling, adrenaline-pumping, rubber-burning, blast of a time.

The unrivalled facilities include extra comfy spectator galleries and even a fully licensed bar! This experience is turning heads and rightly so. It's kart racing at it's absolute best.

Session: Open Grand Prix
Practice heats, 5 heats per driver plus Grand Final for top 8 drivers.

The professional circuit has a tarmac surface incorporating two straights, five right hand and two left bends. Measuring approximately 700m and with a rise of some 20 ft at the paddock end the pro karts can obtain speeds of up to 68mph!

Plenty of opportunity to overtake and a track designed to really test your driving prowess, prepare yourself for a cheek-rippling, adrenaline-pumping, rubber-burning blast of a time!

Endurance:
Endurance meetings are fully marshalled and involve teams of 2 drivers racing to prove their driving prowess . Teamwork is essential, as drivers must work together, swapping track time and fighting for overall position. With constant updates on the video screens within the viewing area and complete printed race statistics this is a close as you will get to the real thing.

Duration:
1 hour per team (i.e. 30 mins each)

Iron Man:
The event consists of a 3 lap warm up session behind the pace kart followed by a rolling start in to fully marshalled racing conditions. The object is simple... race to win, winner takes all.

30 minutes (45 minutes & 1 hour also available)

Challenge 75 Race:
This is an ideal format to challenge your driving skills. After a one lap rolling start the race begins and finishes once the top 3 drivers have completed 75 laps. Have you what it takes to complete the challenge?

The length of the race will depend upon your driving skills (Usually 30 to 45 minutes)
