Prior stag weekenders will tell you Portsmouth is extremely easy to navigate. First, it is very compact. Secondly, each area is like a small community in itself, offering pubs, bars, shops and restaurants that will suit your
stag do’s needs. There is bus service available, offering reasonably priced day passes that allow unlimited rides. There is an excellent taxi service that will get your to spots that aren’t on scheduled bus stops, so door-to-door service is easily obtainable. If your stag party chooses to venture into some of the outlying areas, bus service is extremely flexible.
Portsmouth Nights:
If a stag weekend participant would ask a Portsmouth local where he should begin his night out, the answer would probably be “Gunwharf”. There, your
stag do will find a great selection of pubs, bar and clubs of every type. This area can even offer the members of your stag weekend a casino in which to test their luck. Your stag do will also enjoy the number of food establishment located in this area. “Tiger Tiger” and “Highlights” are two of the larger nightclubs close at hand. “Guildhall Walk” can offer you some great entertainment for a more reasonable cost, making available a number of pubs and bars.
The Foods:
The most difficult part of eating in Portsmouth is getting your guys to make up their mind what they want. Two very popular areas are “Elm Grove” and “Albert Road”. There, you will find some great “Curry Houses” for fans of Indian cuisine. Oriental dishes are popular, as well as other various ethnic selections. As always, stag parties spend a lot of time enjoying what has come to be known as “Pub Grub”, best accompanies with a tankard of your favorite local ale or beer. Great food and live music are available in several establishments in the Albert Road area.
Sports:
If your stag do guys would enjoy watching a football game, take them to “Fratton Park”. It is located near “Fuildhall Walk”, offering many bars and restaurants. After witnessing a game, you can enjoy tipping a few with the local fans. The sense of competition is keen, so don’t expect a meek crowd.
