Overview:
A long long time ago, North American Indians travelled in their kayaks for days on end down the Colorado river to visit Las Vegas. They gambled with bear claws in the hope of winning a new wigwam and used smoke signals to communicate their winnings, attracting other like-minded kayaking buddies. Years later, the tradition of using kayaks has become as much a part of Las Vegas as the Casinos.
That's a load of tripe. Sorry.
Nonetheless, kayaking on a trip to Vegas is better than you may think.
It's a great way to kick back and relax, paddling off your hangover whilst marveling at the incredible sights on Lake Mead. Formed by water impounded by Hoover Dam, Lake Mead is the largest man-made lake and reservoir in the United States. You'll have the opportunity to explore the Boulder Islands , Hoover Dam, Ancient Paint Pots and the Kingman Wash. You'll cruise across the crystal clear emerald waters of the Colorado River diving into the refreshing water between Island stops. Ahhh...bliss.
It's a well known fact that the best thing for a hangover is lots and lots of water, so grab your paddles and get involved. A tranquil, relaxing way to spend your day away from the lights, this'll have you refreshed and re-energised for another night of craziness in Sin City.
