Overview:
Get set to burn some gravel at a stellar off-road rally karting track. These punchy, agile machines offer a thrilling ride, and competitors can choose to hold either a timed rally event or gruelling endurance race. For those looking for a bit of variety, there is also the added option to try out some A-grade indoor karting.
The Karts:
You will be driving the next generation of off-road karts on an exhilarating gravel rally stage designed to get the maximum out of the machine and test the driver to the full.
The RAGE karts pack a powerful 620cc, 20hp V-Twin Honda engine and can reach speeds of up to 50mph over very rough terrain – much faster than any other 4X4 vehicle.
The Track:
The 4 acre plot has been landscaped to create the 700m long by 6m wide track suitable for running multiple RAGE karts. With a fabulous new gravel surface the track is fast, loose and fun with minimal mess. Dips and undulations in the track surface, added to the twisty curves of the track, make the course challenging to navigate. The track surface changes during an event due to wear from the karts, keeping drivers on their toes while they’re trying to achieve the quickest laps.
The track also features a superb viewing area from where you can see the whole track throughout the race, allowing you to check out the best racing lines - and to clock the worst!
The Rally Event:
Individuals compete to get the six quickest laps. The event is time-based, with the added competitive element of having up to four other kart drivers on the track at the same time. Each driver has a practice and two races to achieve their quickest laps. Medals are then given to 1st, 2nd & 3rd place.
Duration:
Approximately 2 – 2.5 hours (time varies dependant on group size).
Note:
Minimum 8 people; maximum 24.
Additional Information:
- All safety equipment & waterproofs provided.
- Light refreshments at a café are available to purchase during the day. The café serves hot and cold food.
- Toilet facilities are located on-site.
- The latest computer controlled timing equipment is used to keep track of kart lap times.
- A marquee is situated in the centre of the track on a 4 metre high plateau enabling the whole track to be seen. This gives a safe viewing platform from where you can watch the event and admire the view of the city.
