Overview
Vilnius is the largest city in Lithuania, and its capital. It has 65 churches and a bit of a Gothic feel to it as wandering paths taking you past the palaces of feudal Lords, shops and the workshops of craftsmen. Although the average temperature is a nippy 6.1°C, you can make sure that you are there in the summer, to appreciate the days that do get over 30°C, and avoid those months (January) when its -4.9 °C. Summer is a great in Vilnius (June – August) as the locals get frisky and the bars and outdoor cafes are pumping! Ice fishing can be added to your stag party to do list if you come in winter, so pick your travel date carefully – they have recorded temperatures of - 25°C. Good quality thermals may need packing… just in case!

Transport
The Vilnius International Airport is your gateway to almost anywhere in the world from here. Buses and trains are the cheapest most hassle free way for your stag party to get to your destination. Once there, the city is great to get around on foot. Taxis are available, but make sure you use a reputable company and ask how much it will cost before the driver whisks you away in their cab of debt! The rest of the public transport available is world class.
