Overview
Valencia is the perfect destination for a
stag party! With sizzling senoritas, this beautiful city slap bang in the middle of the Spanish Mediterranean coastline is the
stag weekend venue you have been searching for! Beaches, gorgeous architecture, a melting pot of beautiful bodies and parties all year round! Can you think of a better place to have a stag weekend away? This city is home to around 810,000 people… and they all know how to party!
Facts
• Bunol,
Valencia’s neighbour, is home to an annual tomato fight in August!
• The F1 European Grand Prix is hosted in
Valencia annually –
stag party race night boys?
• Two official languages are spoken so some streets sometimes have two names! Valencian and Castilian are the languages of choice in your stag weekend destination.
• Most locals can speak English, but be patient- remember they speak over three languages!
Daytime Activities
For an adventurous stag weekend in Valencia, look up some outdoor adventure activities: abseiling down waterfalls, scuba diving, and quad biking are a great way to spend a stag day and can be rounded off by watching a game of footie with the locals. There is also a Gothic style silk exchange market to see- which is a UNESCO world heritage site. If you think your Valencia stag weekend shenanigans are going to result in some apologising when you get home, why not pop in here first?
Nightlife
‘The movement’ begins on Friday evening, and doesn’t stop until Sunday morning. This is what the locals’ call the weekend – La Movida; so you better be ready to be moved. The locals will expect you to party all night long until sunrise because fading early is not acceptable Valencia stag party behaviour. With beautiful girls, a great party vibe and sangria on tap why would you want to?!
Check out the Carmen area for the more alternative venues, with a bit of a bohemian twang to them. If you want to party where the youngsters are, head to Blasco Ibáñez. There are parties on the beach in summer and make sure you try Agua de Valencia – we’re not sure what’s in it but it is the official drink of this stag weekend destination!
Food and Drink
Valencia is where paella was born, and until you have had it here – you cannot claim to have eaten authentic paella! There are brilliant and reasonably priced restaurants all over the city, offering mouth-watering dishes to all! Tapas bars are also fairly common.
Weather
In the coldest winter months the day time temperature varies from 10 - 18°C and evenings can drop as low as 2°C. August, the hottest month, ranges from 28–34 °C in the evening with water temperatures of 26 °C.
Currency
Valencia uses the Euro – so remember to change money before you go if you can. If you do forget your stag weekend stash of cash at home, fear not as most ATMs will work with a British bank card.
Transport
From Madrid you should find many airlines that will get you to the airport just outside of Valencia (9km). Last minute deals are not a good idea with this destination, as the closer to travel that you book – the pricier it may become. Once you are at the airport, you will be met by one of our event managers on the ground, and they will be available to you throughout your trip. Luckily – Valencia is small and ideal for exploration by foot. The bus network is world class and travel cards are recommended. Check your price for a taxi before hopping in.
