Overview:
Tallinn is the pride of the Estonian people: outstanding medieval architecture, crazy nightlife, picturesque shopping places, gorgeous gals and perhaps the most incredibly low prices you have ever seen! All wrapped up to pleasantly punch you in the face on your upcoming stag weekend!
Facts:
• The old town area of Tallinn has been magnificently preserved, and it is equipped with all kinds of visual delights reminiscent of Geneva or Zürich. In fact, Tallinn’s old town landed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in the year 1997, so do spare some sober moments out of your stag weekend to take a closer look that would make any old history enthusiast green with envy.
• Be aware when making your first sensual escapade in the strip clubs and regular clubs colouring your stag nights. Some of these ‘midnight accommodations’ have the habit of filling their cash registries by fleecing tourists who come to quench their alcohol thirst.
Daytime Activities:
Everyone can agree that your stag weekend in Tallinn should not be completely outrun by the ravaging night partying. So, with this in mind, Tallinn is fully equipped with blood pumping activities that will maintain your adrenalin to the max. What better way to combine the entertainment with a bit of KGB-flavoured mystery than to condemn the stag to serve some time at the Patarei Prison- a well-known KGB prison turned into a must-see attraction where all new arrived prisoners will be ‘punished’ with a good meal and a glass of schnapps.
If you’re still focused on adrenalin-filled activities, your Tallinn stag do will suddenly get even merrier by participating in some clay pigeon shooting, sky-high parachute jumping or even quad biking for those of you less eager of hair-raising Tallinn specialty thrills. Last weekend of freedom? Well, it’s the perfect opportunity for eyeing out the ladies that come to sunbathe on the gorgeous beaches of Tallinn. Kakumäe beach is said to have the purest waters of all the other beaches.
Your Tallinn stag weekend is nothing without having your bellies filled with delicious meals, so take a break from your wild sides and rest a bit at the Raekoja Plats; you’ll find an abundance of cafes and restaurants right in the central square of the old city.
Nightlife:
Get your Tallinn stag party started by entering the fascinating world of bars, pubs and nightclubs that will put your drinking capabilities to the test. In some places, beer is no more than £1.60, so you’ll have plenty of mula for partying all night long. Don’t be a stranger- get acquainted with all the beer types generously offered by the Beer House, on Dunkri 5, or indulge yourself in experiencing the fun and excitement found only in The Bar with No Name (Nimeta Baar). After a few drinks there and partying with other wild tourists, you’ll find plenty of names to baptize this fun place with.
Weather:
The climate is exactly what you’d expect from a European city, with cold winters and warm summers that can last till mid-October. Tallinn is perfect for visiting in the summer. What do you mean why? Girls, beaches, beer? Hello!?
Currency and Transport:
The Estonian kroon (EEK) is the currency in Tallinn. If you’re planning on getting the feel of the Old City, make sure you get comfy shoes for this area is best navigated on foot. The rest of Tallinn can be easily explored by bus, tram, trolleybus, or, if you prefer to travel at a smaller scale, go for a taxi. The latter are cheap and too numerous to ever have to wait for one.
