Nightlife:
Riga is home to a huge constituent of Russians which means that the vodka flows freely in the city. Beyond this, Riga’s old town is packed with clubs, bars and pubs from the old days and that nostalgia can be seen throughout the city. Riga stag do’s are only for those of you who can keep up with the lively and all-night nature of the area. You may have to contend with some feisty residents during the outdoor parties in the summer or fight your way to the bar in the winter but in the end, it will be a trip you will never forget!
Daytime Activities:
In Eastern Europe, certain things are popular everywhere. Shooting pigeons, carting and modern pastimes like paintballing are all things you can do in the city. Why not try something thrilling? The city is also home to simulators that will give you the impression that you are falling so you can realistically experience free falling from great heights without any of the potential consequences. Can you imagine trying something like that with the boys on your stag weekend in Riga? Of course, the area also has a rich maritime history and there is no shortage of underwater evidence to demonstrate this. Why not go diving in and around their most famous shipwrecks? If you are up for an exploration, you could also go on a snow expedition.

The liqueur in Riga is thick and black with an oily texture. It is very popular with the locals but as outsiders you should try to experience it just once before putting off the idea. Put it on your Riga stag party to-do list. You can also try snacking on fish or dark, toasty bread with delicious and filling stews.

Summers in Riga are pleasant and comfortable at about 21 °C. Winter, on the other hand, can get very frosty dropping down to -5°C. Still you can enjoy your stag night lodged in a cosy pub somewhere. At least you’ll be safe and sound!

Transport:
Taxis are cheap but go up slightly in the evenings. We advise getting taxi transport close to the city centre as those waiting outside accommodation are likely to charge extra. Make sure you see the payment amount on the meter and you should be just fine. Trams and buses are also available in the city and day passes are available for tourists.
