Transport:

An all day travel pass can be bought for £3 for tram and bus transport. Taxis are also available and are of a similar price to most UK cities.

• Sports – The Forest football ground and Trent Bridge cricket ground are within walking distance of each other and just a short bus ride out of the city.

If you are interested in Nottingham’s history and culture be sure not to miss the following: The Galleries of Justice, The Angel Row Gallery and Wollaton Park in which is situated a fascinating Elizabethan mansion called Wollaton Hall and many other sites. Another absolute must see if you decide on a Nottingham stag weekend is the Newstead Abbey, the home of Lord Byron, which is located near the city, as well as the Sherwood Forest Country Park – an old hunting site where you can enjoy nature and see where Robin Hood and his Merry Men used to roam! An interesting culture stop is the Broadway Cinema which hosted the UK premiere of Quentin Tarantino’s Reservoir Dogs.
