Format:
Clench your fists, grit your teeth, it's competition time. You'll be roaring round this exhilarating British Championship circuit which is one of the largest in the UK, then test your wits on the fast-paced speedball field.

The Circuit:
This snaking 1200m monster is challenging, wet or dry. It demands respect through the turning sections if you are to keep you lap times low, but the best drivers hit back with productive use of the throttle when laying down the power coming into the straights. Be careful though: uncontrolled 360s into the tyre barriers are embarrassing and destroy your chances of spraying bubbly at the end of the day. 

The Karts:
The boys in the pits have just taken delivery of a brand new fleet of 390 cc Eglem Thunderkarts, one of the most advanced general usage kart available. It is one of the few circuits in the UK running these awesome 70mph animals as standard and they are kept in top condition to ensure even racing.

The Racing – Grand Prix:
After a quick video and safety briefing, each driver will go out onto the circuit for a practice session. During this time the computer will monitor lap times which will determine the start position for the main race. After a short break you're back out on to the circuit for a 30 minute non-stop grand prix. Concentration and consistency are the key to victory and the chequered flag falls just as your shoulders begin to ache. Once your heart rate has settled down, the race results are announced. The winner receives a well deserved trophy and there will also be a special prize for the fastest lap during the race.

Kart Notes:
- Duration is 1.5 hours including briefings and practice
- Driving time: 15 minutes timed practice, to determine grid positions, then a 30 min head to head race.
- Groups of more than 20 will do an endurance race

Speedball:
Speedball is the latest thing in paintball - it's a fast and furious game of tactical prowess and strategic play. Played on the UK’s largest purpose built arena, it is far cleaner and safer than traditional paintball with an even rubber surface underfoot. It is the most popular form of paintball in the USA now available here in the UK. There's colour coded equipment for easy recognition of team members and the opposition plus you'll be using the very latest Tippman guns which are both reliable and very accurate. There are various timber structures and giant inflatable’s to provide cover as you relentlessly unleash your paint-filled-pellets-of-pain on the enemy.

Off Road Buggies
Prepare to be sliding all over the place as you get behind the wheel of a powerful Gemini Liberator buggy. The 400cc, 30hp machines are hugely fun to drive and you'll be guaranteed to be going sideways as you bolt around a brilliant grass track full of tight chicanes. Up to 2 buggies will be out on the track at once and the session begins with a few practice laps around the track. Next it's time for an endurance event where participants will be split into teams and expected to operate as a fully functional pit team as they negotiate pit stops and driver changeovers. The session will end with some timed individual races to determine who is the fastest on 4 wheels.

Extreme Quad Biking
Take on the challenge of deep mud, water pools and slippery descents on a brilliant Yamaha fully automatic quad bike. You will be accompanied by qualified instructors who will explain the bike's controls and allow you to have a practice ride before you embark on a trek up into the fells. There is no set track as this is true off-road quad bike trekking; the course will be made up as you go along to match the group's ability. All safety equipment is provided including overalls, helmets and gloves. Be warned though: you will not just be riding around on a flat field and are guaranteed to get a bit muddy, so don't bring your high heels! Each event session lasts a full hour of driving time per person.

Quad Endurance Racing
If you don't think the quad bike trek is the thing to rock your boat, then try a bit of competitive racing. The coned track is set in a large 5 acre field and features water splashes, mud and rolling ridge and furrow straights. Depending upon your group size, between 2 and 4 quads will be on the track at any one time, with each team in charge of their own pit stop changeovers. The declared winner will be the team completing the most laps during the race.

Clay Shooting:
Pull, lead, squeeze, destroy, eject. Some people can and some people just can't. If you manage to get the hang of this fast paced action sport you can really put one over on the boys. Novices and old hands alike are well catered for with qualified instructors at the ready to take you through the basics and then to further hone your marksmanship. You will start on a couple of simple ‘straight up' practice targets to get the hang of things as you learn to track the bird and how to time your shots.

Professional instruction is provided in a 25 clay session with the instructor's aim to have even the most novice marksman hitting at least every second target by the end of the day. Different traps allow the target ‘birds' to be released in various flight patterns - across you, along the ground, away and up or straight down the barrel. You'll be using a 12" bore pump action shotgun just to spice things up a bit.

Air Rifles
To make sure your group is keeping their eyes on the prize, Air Rifle Shooting will be on offer to test your sharp shooting skills (or lack thereof). The shooting range has a series of targets and participants will be scored on their efforts. Up to 4 shooters can get out on the range at any one time.

Archery:
This event is simple really. Grab the most annoying member of the group, stand them up against a tree, bang an apple on their head, back-up 15 paces and let rip at the apple.

Well, you could probably do it, but just not whilst the instructor is looking. Archery is a game of points. The centre of the target being the highest and the outsides worth less. Missing everything all together wins you a cheer from your friends and nothing else....

4x4 Off Roading - (can only be done with clay shooting)
Using one of the beefy Land Rover Defenders, learn to drive off road on one of the biggest sites in the UK. 500 acres of extreme hills, rocks, water runs and bogs await drivers who are after some extreme adventure. Your qualified instructor will teach you how to handle some of the hardest off road terrain available and if you get stuck you may be taught some special winching techniques. Three other passengers can accompany the driver during the session.

Included:
- Two Activity sessions of your choice

Duration:
Allow approximately 1¼ hours for each driving event session. Shooting event may last longer depending on group size. Allow about 4 hours in total.

An instructor will be on hand to offer guidance throughout the event and will take up to 5 drivers at once on quad trek through a variety of challenging terrain.

Rage Buggy Time Trials
Featured on BBC Two's Top Gear and voted the best off road vehicle, these amazing machines are the Formula 1 of buggies. They are run on time trials - whilst one person is going around the track the next person is waiting in the pits to jump in as soon as the existing driver returns. Team mates can help in getting the drivers in and out of the rage buggies as soon as possible. The best time of the day wins.

Quad Trek
You'll get a bike per person, tuition from a qualified instructor and exhilaration all the way on this quad safari. The cross-country trek through a quarry, across streams, and up and down hillsides is seriously fun and satisfyingly testing.

Powerturns
With independent front suspension, two Honda 6.5 HP Engines (200cc each), balloon back wheels, bicycle front wheels, twin seats and independent lever steering, driving the Powerturn is a bit like riding a rodeo bull on wheels. Communication between the pairs of drivers is essential to complete this course in the best possible time.

4x4 Off Road Adventure
Experience the thrill of driving a 4x4 around a demanding course in a skill test that requires patience and nerve. You'll be attempting daring manoeuvres that seem impossible - driving up very steep muddy slopes, careering into axle-breaking ditches and more - it's nerve wracking, sensational fun.

Rally - A race against the clock over a purpose built course.
Enduro - complete as many laps as possible within a given time period. Teams manage complete race, including, drivers, changeovers and over-taking procedures.

Gemini Off Road Buggies
Outrageous fun, with copious amounts of over-steer, 360 degree spins and loads of mud. Can your team remain cool, calm and collected. Are you able to accumulate more laps than the opposition?

Blindfold Driving
The driver of the 4x4 vehicle is blindfolded and has to negotiate a coned course with the help of directions from the
passenger/team-mate. Instructions, even when shouted, are not necessarily obeyed! This leads to frustrating but hilarious consequences!

Clay Pigeon Shooting
Whatever your ability, you'll be knocking the clays out of the sky in no time. The highly trained firearms instructor will be on hand to give you an outstanding experience.

Laser Combat
Equipped with state of the art infrared hardware, players stalk each other using stealth and cunning, strategy and skill. This highly sophisticated adrenaline charged activity takes place in a custom built 5 acre game area, equipped with Flag bases, the village, a bridge too far and the two towers. Teams will be given a choice of weapons ranging from SMG/Sub Machine Guns, AR-12 assault Rifles and HK-16 Sniper Rifles. Each weapon delivers variable damage and all teams can be monitored by computer scoring system.

This is a one of a kind activity and incomparably unique. You'll be using the official dry training track used by the Olympians. Aerial Extreme - Tree Tops Adventure Course
Aerial Extreme is a high-adrenaline tree top, adventure ropes course. You've got the choice of any one of these fine activities to fill out your day with anything from some blind driving to a relaxed fishing experience in Sharpley springs four fishing lakes.

Clay Pigeon Shooting
Whatever the experience of you and your mates, these instructors can accommodate them with a range of targets that boost confidence or challenge the professional. The instructors were recommended to us by Northumbria Police and have many years experience in both competition shooting and in teaching. There are several settings participants can shoot in, ranging from a secluded farm to a dramatic hill top location with views over the region. This choice allows us to provide excellent shooting in a variety of conditions. We can supply a range of firearms including low recoil guns for the timid, semi autos for the Rambo wannabes and the more traditional over and under for the true country gent.

Off Road Driving
The capability of today’s four wheel drive vehicles is immense. None more so than the legendary Land Rover range. Driving challenges are provided from our experienced and qualified hosts and can be tailored to the customer’s abilities / requirements. When these top-end instructors aren’t hosting beginners they can usually be found at international off road events, demonstrating and testing 4X4s or teaching the fleet drivers of some of the country’s biggest companies. You and your buddies can look forward to steep climbs, severe drops and plenty of mud and water to go splashing through. Who needs roads when you've got a bloody massive Land Rover?

Quad Biking
In the states they are known as All Terrain Vehicles which is an apt name as these things will go just about everywhere, through everything and over anything. These sessions have an emphasis on off-roading skills as this is where these machines really excel. You'll use machines from two of the most respected names in the business; Yamaha and Polaris. The instructors are experts in their field and will provide an enjoyable experience for people of all abilities.

Blind Driving
Next to shooting and Quadding this activity is often overlooked, but ask anyone that has taken part and they are sure to tell you how much fun it is! If you have a pal who's a bit on the wide side, this activity is great as it requires next to no physical fitness and can involve the entire group at once. With the driver blindfolded, it’s up to the rest of the team to direct him or her through a course set out by the instructor. Throw in some obstacles, blindfolded swap-overs or blindfolded jousting and its sure to be an activity to remember.

Archery
Fancy yourself as the next Robin Hood? Try your hand at classic archery - An ancient skill transformed by modern equipment. Participants are given basic instruction to enable them to safely enjoy the thrill of hitting the target time and time again, hopefully improving as their session progresses. Sessions can cater for both beginners and more experienced archers. Just like Clay Pigeon shooting, Archery can take place at various locations throughout the Sharpley Leisure site and is a perfect add on to one of these other activities.

Sharpley Springs Fishing Lakes
Catch a whopper! The four fishing lakes that make up Sharpley Waters are set in a quiet rural setting allowing its anglers to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The lakes at Sharpley Springs are stocked with rainbow and brown trout from 1.5lb to 12lb and have a reputation nationwide for the quality of fishing, voted top Junior Trout Masters UK venue. The fisherman’s Lodge is centrally heated with hot drinks available for colder days. While this activity may be too sedate for some, it may be perfect for those who went a little heavy the night before. Just remember a camera, so you're not that old git in a bar in twenty years telling everyone about how that fish was 'THIS BIG!'

Driving challenges are provided from our experienced and qualified hosts and can be tailored to the customer’s abilities / requirements. When these top-end instructors aren’t hosting beginners they can usually be found at international off road events, demonstrating and testing 4X4s or teaching the fleet drivers of some of the country’s biggest companies. You and your buddies can look forward to steep climbs, severe drops and plenty of mud and water to go splashing through. Who needs roads when you've got a bloody massive Land Rover?

Quad Biking
In the states they are known as All Terrain Vehicles which is an apt name as these things will go just about everywhere, through everything and over anything. These sessions have an emphasis on off-roading skills as this is where these machines really excel. You'll use machines from two of the most respected names in the business; Yamaha and Polaris. The instructors are experts in their field and will provide an enjoyable experience for people of all abilities.

Blind Driving
Next to shooting and Quadding this activity is often overlooked, but ask anyone that has taken part and they are sure to tell you how much fun it is! If you have a pal who's a bit on the wide side, this activity is great as it requires next to no physical fitness and can involve the entire group at once. With the driver blindfolded, it’s up to the rest of the team to direct him or her through a course set out by the instructor. Throw in some obstacles, blindfolded swap-overs or blindfolded jousting and its sure to be an activity to remember.

Archery
Fancy yourself as the next Robin Hood? Try your hand at classic archery - An ancient skill transformed by modern equipment. Participants are given basic instruction to enable them to safely enjoy the thrill of hitting the target time and time again, hopefully improving as their session progresses. Sessions can cater for both beginners and more experienced archers. Just like Clay Pigeon shooting, Archery can take place at various locations throughout the Sharpley Leisure site and is a perfect add on to one of these other activities.

Sharpley Springs Fishing Lakes
Catch a whopper! The four fishing lakes that make up Sharpley Waters are set in a quiet rural setting allowing its anglers to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The lakes at Sharpley Springs are stocked with rainbow and brown trout from 1.5lb to 12lb and have a reputation nationwide for the quality of fishing, voted top Junior Trout Masters UK venue. The fisherman’s Lodge is centrally heated with hot drinks available for colder days. While this activity may be too sedate for some, it may be perfect for those who went a little heavy the night before. Just remember a camera, so you're not that old git in a bar in twenty years telling everyone about how that fish was 'THIS BIG!'
