Overview:
This would have to be one of the coolest things we’ve come across in a long time. The basement of a Soho office building has been converted into an unbelievable high tech golfer’s paradise. It’s a perfect cross between hitting the course for real and firing up Tiger Woods PGA Tour on the Playstation (but without the newspaper headlines)
How it Works:
Utilizing the same technology used by the US PGA to certify flight characteristics of new brands of golf balls, a simulator booth represents your gateway to golfing Disneyland. A massive screen at the end of the booth brings up a display of any world class course that you select from a choice of 50. Each booth is kitted out with a full set of the latest Calloway Clubs and, as you smash the ball off the tee into the screen, a series of lasers measure speed, trajectory and spin to instantly and accurately show the flight path of your ball. It feels so real that you’ll be tempted to pluck some grass to test the breeze.
On the Day:
You will have use of the simulators for 3 hours, with between 2 – 10 people allocated to a booth (depending upon numbers and availability). Extra time can be arranged upon request.
The onsite instructors will give you a run down on how to use the controls. If the organiser has any photos of the stag, they can show these on the screens between holes and games.
After that they will then take you through a number of competitive games from longest drive to closest to the pin. There will be drinking games and a lot of the events will be team based so if you're a first timer or season pro, everyone will be in with a chance.
Drinks and food are available from the bar and waitress will also come past your area to take extra orders.
A buffet lunch or ‘pre pub’ finger food meal can be arranged on request as well as pre paid beers. This a additional cost. Please ask for details.
Personalised Screen:
- If you want a photo displayed on your screen inbetween games, we can put you in touch with our supplier once you've made your booking. Maybe the stag in a compromising position or an embarrassing photo of the group members...you choose!
