Overview:
A lot of time and effort goes into finding the right place for the perfect
stag weekend. The place needs to have plenty of activities to keep everyone occupied, but also needs to be a place where the atmosphere and nightlife is incredibly vibrant. One place that is starting to gain its reputation for all of the above is certainly
Cardiff.
Over the last few years
Cardiff has become much more popular with not only tourists, but people organising
stag parties. It is well known nowadays for having some the highest quality bars, traditional pubs and booming clubs in the whole of the UK. The entertainment scene is booming as well, which mean people on their stag dos are not going to be bored for one second of their trip. People planning a
stag weekend, should certainly take
Cardiff into consideration.
Getting Around:
Luckily for people on a Cardiff stag weekend, the city is actually quite flat. Unlike other parts of Wales, there is a distinct lack of hills, which actually makes getting around a lot easier than people expect. A lot of people tend to drive to Cardiff as it feels slightly out of the way, but once here, people of a stag do need to stash there keys somewhere safe and have some fun.
The reality is that the transport here is fairly good. There is a great network of buses, which seems to be very popular with the locals. The buses allow the quickest routes around town and they tend to be the cheapest as well. Of course, after a hard night on the town, a taxi is likely to be one of the best options, unless the Cardiff stag weekend accommodation is within walking distance.
Must See/Do:
• Be at one with history and have a day out at Cardiff Castle
• See what events are on at the Millennium Stadium
• Check out the local 18 hole golf course and show of your skills
• Experience all the different types of cuisine that are on offer in Cardiff
History:
Whilst a lot of people do not know it, Cardiff is fairly well known for its history. That being said a lot of the Edwardian type architecture has been over shadowed by the likes of modern additions like the Millennium Stadium. That does not mean that everything of any historical significance has disappeared though, as there are still plenty of things to see, similar to the Cardiff Castle!
Nightlife:
Like any capital city, the nightlife here is extremely impressive, which is great news for people planning a Cardiff stag weekend. The great thing about having a Cardiff stag weekend is that all the people involved are going to experience a huge range of variety. The likes of traditional pubs are a great place to start early afternoon. From here, people on a stag do can move onwards and upwards to one of the many bars. With a few drinks in their stomachs and spirits high, its time to top the night off with one of Cardiff’s many high quality nightclubs! Having a stag night in Cardiff is certainly an experience that the majority of people will never forget!
Food/Restaurants:
Cardiff has some of the best dining facilities in the whole of the UK, let alone Wales. This alone makes it the ideal destination to organise a stag party. The likes of quality bistros, fine dining facilities and a mix of takeaways means that there is a huge range of variety. It is certainly worth checking out what the locals recommend so that people on their Cardiff stag weekend do not miss out on the best places to eat.
