Something of more significance though; was the fact that it has plenty of lime carbonate in its sand. What this meant is that locals could harvest the sand and sell it, as the lime was used as fertilizer for plants throughout the UK. The beach resort increased in popularity quickly and a lot of people started to come on stag weekends here. A stag weekend in Bude is not just fun, but educational as well!
