Quick Overview:
Budapest, a diverse mix of eastern and western cultures (often referred to as the "Paris of the East"), is one of the most beautiful and intriguing capitals in the world. It is composed of two main parts: on the hilly west side is historic Buda, whilst Pest is the city's cosmopolitan centre of shops, restaurants, markets and nightlife.
In a Nutshell:
- Bigger and more diverse than Prague and Tallinn - yet less overrun with stag weekends and tourists.
- 123 registered thermal springs and nine outdoor spas.
- Cheap as chips - 80p for a pint & less than a £5 for the average meal.
- Some of the best activities and nightlife of any European city.
- 2000 hours of sunshine a year, among the highest rate in Europe.
Daytime Activities:
Budapest is certainly one of the best cities in Europe for various daytime activities. With the Pilis Mountains close by providing an ideal location for adventure sports and rally driving and all the usual activities such as paintball and karting, Budapest also provides the ideal activity hangover cure with its numerous outdoor thermal spas. Alternatively, book your own private boat and see the sights from the Danube and for extra thrills throw in your own strippers!
Nightlife:
Budapest seethes with bars, pubs, clubs and restaurants that open and close seemingly with the seasons, and we make it our job to make sure you end up at the best of them. From the beer gardens hidden in District VII's decrepit courtyards, to central Pest's chi-chi watering holes and the outrageously fit birds who go there, to the open-air dance clubs lining the Danube, Budapest has all the venues you need for a proper stag weekend piss-up. Given Budapest's generally glorious weather, unless it's winter-time, you will usually want to be outside - even the hotter dance clubs are all outside (one even has a pool and jacuzzi). All of our packages include a nightlife tour which is tailored to your requirements so you get the most out of the weekend.
Food:
Hungarians relish eating and drinking, and Budapest is great for both. Though Magyar cuisine naturally predominates, you can find everything from Middle Eastern to Japanese food and bagels to Big Macs.
Weather:
Budapest averages 2000 hours of sunshine a year, among the highest in Europe. From spring through to autumn days are glorious in Budapest, with plenty to see and do and the winter cold doesn't really hit until mid-December.
Costs:
With the exception of imported goods, you will usually pay between ¼ to ½ of UK prices for taxis, food and beer (around 80p/pint).
So What Do Chillisauce Do For You?
Essentially we provide a one stop shop for sorting out everything for your Budapest stag weekend. We live, eat and breathe stag dos and after years of fine tuning, we know how to make perfect stag weekend. Obviously you could have a crack at organising it yourself (or through some other some small time operators!), however that does have its risks. You have to remember this was part of the USSR only a few years back and as with all former Eastern Bloc countries there are still a lot of - shall we say - "rogue elements" who will all to happily separate an un-streetwise tourist from their hard earned cash!
We've seen it all. Your "central three star hotel" could turn out to be a fleabag motel on the outskirts of town. You could get ripped off all weekend by randomly-hailed cabbies. The truly unlucky might be forced by a reckless bouncer to pay 500 euros for a pair of brandies. Worst of all, you might end up at bars, clubs and restaurants that suck!
By booking with Chillisauce you rule out having to worry about these sorts of things. So have a look through the enclosed ideas and give us a call.
