History:
The history of Birmingham most likely began somewhere as far back as the Bronze age, but you aren’t likely to find much from that era except an occasional flint or bronze artifact. Actually, Birmingham came into its own during the Industrial Revolution, but the buildings that cropped up during that period were anything but attractive. There is still a hint of ancient Roman military roads and some interesting medieval architecture, but on the whole, the city has taken on a new life since the early 1990’s and is now the perfect blend of the old and new. Take time out of your Birmingham stag weekend to soak in some interesting local history and culture and you’ll see a side of Birmingham you never knew existed!
Nightlife:
This is one part of a Birmingham stag do that won’t lack for variety and excitement. From local clubs like the Medicine Bar Factory Club to the Oceana Nightclub, you’ll raise a few toasts and have a few laughs while enjoying the local nightlife. You might want to visit the Custard Factory on a stag night as there is an interesting mix of shops as well as cafés and musical venues to suit every taste. You might be out on the town, but there’s always time to grab a gift or eat a quick bite in between pints.
Food/Restaurants:
This city may be in the heart of the West Midlands, but there is a flavor of the east to be immersed in on a Birmingham stag weekend. Have an exotic meal at the Café Eastern Delight which offers the best in Indian curries and traditional Indian fare. However, if you’ve worked up an appetite for a pizza after a particularly bawdy stag night, try Zizzi’s for a pie or two. Of course, you can always grab a quick burger at Micki D’s in the good old American style of fast food – fast fun, but hey, to each his own. stag nights in Birmingham can be on the wild side, but you won’t have to waste time deciding where to eat. There are so many cafés, restaurants and pubs that you won’t look long for something to fill up the gut.
