Peterborough Polo Experience
Overview:
Fancy yourself as a Hooray Henry or Henrietta for the day? Come and play the sport of the upper class in the beautiful surrounding of Cambridge…Polo!
The game basically consists of riding on horses, swinging mallets at each other, repeatedly saying ‘wot wot’, discussing your favourite brandy and chuckling heartily. But trust us, it makes for a diverse, hilarious and fun-filled hen or stag do.
Fear not if you have never ridden before as the ponies are impeccably trained and exceptionally obedient and the expert instructors can teach people of any standard.
Format:
- Introduction: Learn the rules, discuss team tactics and positional plays
- Wooden Horses: Instruction on the four polo shots and a practise at hitting the ball without having to worry about the horse
- On the Horses - Mount up for polo riding instruction.
- Stick and Ball: Practice hitting the ball from your pony
- Polo Challenge: Everyone has the opportunity to play the Polo Challenge with an instructor on each team. The team scoring most goals wins!
- Exhibition Match: Sit back and relax with a G&T or cold beer to watch how the professionals do it
