If you're intent on heading for the Lake District, the odds are you're looking for breathtaking landscapes and you won't be disappointed - it's simply stunning. If you want to go clubbing then you're going to have to head to Carlisle but we'd recommend heading for one of the many smaller towns and villages dotted around the countryside, getting yourself settled into a friendly looking pub and making yourselves at home.
