Spain has some great partying towns, Barcelona and Valencia are probably the best though. Valencia is Spain’s third biggest city and capital of the autonomous Valencia region. Valencia is about the same size as Manchester with a nightlife which at least matches plus a great climate and Mediterranean location with great beaches making it ideal for a hen party. You will find people flock from across Europe to party in Valencia, Brits, Germans, Dutch, French but the Spanish guys are still among the hottest.
Culture:
The Spanish culture lends itself to partying, eat late with plenty of wine and then party until the sun comes up, beach parties happen all the time but that will just be a part of a non-stop hen party weekend in Valencia. Start on a Friday and keep going all weekend, you can just about fit some hours of sleep in late morning when you get back before starting again by lunch with most bars opening again at 11 in the morning.
Food:
Of course if food is going to be an important part of you hen night, well it goes well with the wine, then Valencia has some of the best local dishes the world has to offer. Being on the coast there’s plenty of seafood including Seafood Paella, Paella is originally from Valencia though and if you choose the original version you’ll find it contains rabbit, chicken and sails if your hen party is feeling adventurous.
Nightlife:
Start your Valencia Hen Do’s a night in some bars, having spent the afternoon by the beach or the pool drinking some Sangria. Sangria isn’t a bad start but get the girls on to some local wine which is great value and really drinkable. Should it be beer your looking for some local lagers such as San Miguel and Estella are great on a hot day or a hot night. The Spanish do some good local brandy and rum as well a good excuse to mix your drinks then on your hen party. Tapas is an option for dinner as well go between Tapas bars having a bit to eat and a bit to drink in each one.
Make some moves on the dance floors of which Valencia has a lot the locals here really know how to dance and the guys know how to treat ladies on the dance floor with some great moves that you just wont see from most guys back in the UK.
Valencia’s nightlife is spread over a few areas, a weekend wont be enough for it all but try to get your hen party in Valencia moving around.
Canovas is perhaps the most mainstream area, in the city centre, here it is popular to go between disco-bars each with free entry so if you don’t like the music or don’t like the talent you can move on. Because of the competition between lots of medium sized bars to keep you the drink is cheap here though most bars stay open until at least 4am.
The Playa is the beach and port area of Valencia it is classy with plenty of cafes, restaurants and quite bars during the day and of course the chance to catch some rays but at night it is teeming with revellers and has plenty of bars and clubs many of which are a bit more upmarket, hopefully the bride to be will only ever have one hen party though so make it a good Valencia Hen Do and treat her.
The Ruta de Bacalao is an area along the coast on the outskirts of Valencia with lots of clubs and bars, it grew up in the 90s and is still a great place to go for house and techno music especially at Chocolate. Bananas nightclub offers a free train to get you there with loads of dance floors across the massive complex and an open air terrace area with a swimming pool.
