If you’re looking for some top notch outdoor adventure activities set in an area of stunning natural beauty, look no further: this superb activity centre is set right in the heart of the brilliant Lakes District, an ever popular destination for stag weekends.

Horse Riding:
This Equestrian Centre has been established for over 20 years and offers a wide variety of options for both trekking and riding lessons. What better way to enjoy the beauty of the Lakeland countryside and its changing seasons than to get someone else to do the walking for you! We can arrange rides to suit you from a one hour trek or lesson to a weekend riding break.

Do I need to be an experienced rider?
The Centre caters for both total beginners and experienced riders and has a choice of over 35 well mannered and willing horses and ponies of all shapes, sizes and temperaments - there is a horse to suit everyone. They include native breeds and warm bloods and are anything from steady to forward going depending on your experience and preference.

The rides (depending on the weather, ground conditions and the ability of the rider) go along bridleways and quiet country lanes across open fells and through forests. The numerous routes all offer glorious views of the surrounding fells and riders can enjoy the breathtaking scenery of the Ullswater and Matterdale Valleys.

What about safety equipment?
All treks are led by qualified, friendly escorts and B.H.S approved riding hats are provided. Substantial footwear with a small heel is advised - riding boots are also provided. When it’s cold, gloves are a must!

Notes:
- To ensure the centre has the right horses, each participant needs to supply their height, weight and riding experience details.
- 1 instructor will accompany every 6 riders.
- Allow extra time to kit-up and get accustomed to the horse before your trek.

This activity is great for beginners and accomplished horse riders alike. Riding horseback up-hill to the fells overlooking the Lake District is an opportunity to experience a slower pace and enjoy the magnificent scenery. Regular treks go out each day.

Multi-Activity Mayhem:
This excellent site is an established adventure venue and the perfect place to get stuck into a load of testing, fun and adrenaline-pumping activities. With a half day to dabble in all the below, you won't be dissapointed! 

Archery:
Experienced instructors will give you all the tips you'll need to pick up a bow and arrow, take aim and shoot 2 foot wide of the target to the heckling jeers of their mates. With steady handedness a prerequisite, those who can control their shakes may just nail that bullseye.

Quad Bike Trek:
Thrill seekers will have a blast as they set out on a rugged quad bike trek. There are over 250 acres to explore at this massive site, giving riders the opportunity to tackle a variety of different terrain. 300cc quads will be on offer, and a maximum of 10 people can head out on a trek at any one time. Helmets and overalls are provided.

Horse Riding:
Mosey on down to these idyllic Lakeland countryside with your best John Wayne swagger and prepare for a horse ride through the stunning region. Trotting through scenic countryside valleys on your magnificent steed, taking in the fresh air and magnificent sights, you'll feel at one with nature and fully refreshed. Whether it's the first time you've been on a horse or you're a world champion rider, your friendly guide will take you on a trail according to your experience level and your group's preference.
