Overview:
The Lake District is one of the most picturesque regions in Britain. The magnificent lakes and imposing peaks inspired Wordsworth to write 'The Prelude', but we don't expect you to be knocking out any romantic poetry on your hen weekend, not when there are great activities to be enjoyed and cocktails to be drunk.

Accommodation:
Here at Chillisauce we know how important it is to get a good night's sleep. The last thing you want after a great night on the town is to sleep in a room the size of a matchbox, in a bed which is as comfortable as a giant cheese grater. Luckily for you this won't happen.

We use a clean and comfortable 4* guest house which is within stumbling distance of Carlisle's top bars and nightclubs, so even the most tipsy of your party will have no trouble finding their way home safely. The rooms will be twin shares, so you'll be sharing with a friend, and you'll also get free parking which is always a bonus.

*Friday:
Once you're all settled in your rooms, it'll be time to get dressed up and hit the town.

VIP Nightclub Entry:
A good nightclub can make or break a hen weekend. Get it right and you'll go down in legend, get it wrong and you'll never live it down. Luckily for you we've sampled all of Carlisle's nightclubs and we know where's hot and where's not.

You may think that getting a large group of girls into a busy nightclub could be problematic, but your names will be on the guestlist meaning you'll cruise past the masses and straight in through the front doors.

Dress to impress, the bouncers reserve the right to refuse entry so at least try to act sober when you turn up.

*Saturday:
You may feel a little rough if you've overindulged at the nightclub, but there's nothing that a hot shower and a good breakfast can't fix, and you've got a cracking day ahead so be up bright and early.

Breakfast:
You'll be served a tasty breakfast at your guest house which'll set you up perfectly for the rest of the day.

Spa and Pamper:
Be pampered, relax and unwind at this beautiful spa. You''ll get a 20 minute facial, a 20 minute massage, use of the luxury swimming pool, saunas, steam rooms, hyrdo-pool and state of the art gym. The bride-to-be will also recieve a full body St.Tropez tan.

VIP Nightclub Entry:
On your last night you want to go big, and there's no better place than Carlisle's hottest superclub. This place is packed to the rafters every weekend with lush Lake District lads and you'll get VIP entry and champagne courtesy of the management.

You'll have plenty of time to drink and dance the night away the club stays opens until 4am.

*Sunday:
Unfortunately the party's over and it's time to return to your 9-5 job and boyfriend/husband, but we'll send you off with a good meal inside you.

Overview:
Get ready for a full day of fun-fuelled activities that'll squeeze the most out of your daylight hours. With the choice of 2 activities, one in a 3 hour morning slot and one in a 3 hour afternoon slot, your day will be filled to the brim with action and adventure.

Raft Building:
Get your survival instincts to kick in as you are set the task of constructing and racing your very own raft. Teams will compete against each other as they test the buoyancy of their water vessels and have their race efforts timed. Will you sink or swim? There's only one way to find out!

Canyoning:
Canyoning is a high-adrenaline activity that'll satisfy your thirst for adventure. Scrambling and climbing through a rocky river, you'll be fearlessly sliding and jumping into plunge pools in a river gorge. Jumping from cliff edges and abseiling down waterfalls should see your adrenaline glands well and truly knackered. Awesome.

Canoeing:
These two man canoes are completely open topped similar to the ones used by Indians or Canadian Trappers. You and a partner will need to get coordinated in order to steer and paddle effectively. During the day you will play lots of games and learn a number of different paddle strokes used in the sport.

Kayaking:
The Eskimo's preferred means of water travel, these single person, closed in, kayaks are great fun. Learn to paddle and steer before engaging in a wet water based competition against your friends. These thing have a mind of their own and remaining upright may not be a luxury which you can afford to count on!

Gorge Scrambling:
A top activity for the adventurous who are excited by the thought of clambering over rocks, climbing through wet crevices and jumping into plunge pools. You'll need to have a basic level of fitness but the guide will look after you and tailor the activity to match the capabilities of the group.

Abseiling:
Take your pick from low, tame crags up to high-adrenaline cliff faces and get yourself strapped in. Once shown the best descending techniques, you'll be left to bounce off the rockface, lowering yourself jubilantly to the ground below. Vertigo suffers sling your hook, those with a sense of adventure get involved!

Climbing:
These rockfaces offer a great challenge. After getting some hot tips on climbing techniques and having a practice at low level, participants pair up within the teams with a climber and a "belayer". The climber scales the wall to get maximum points for height achieved while trusting the belayer to keep them on that rope. 

Clay pigeon Shooting:
Ever fancied getting your hands on a shotgun, setting your sights down the shiny double-barrel and scratching that itchy trigger finger of yours? Yes? We thought so! What better way to satisfy the urge than blasting a clay pigeon to smithereens, catching a victorious waft of the smoking barrels and reloading to unleash more destruction on yet another unsuspecting ceramic projectile. Qualified instructors will help you maximise the carnage inflicted on your clays

Archery:
Pick up a bow and arrow, take aim and shoot 2 foot wide of the target to the heckling jeers of your mates. With steady handedness a prerequisite, those who've had a heavy one the night before will be pulling their arrows from the dirt.

Mountain Biking:
A very popular activity for anyone who can already ride a bike and has a reasonable level of fitness. The ride will be over rough terrain with some very fast sections of downhill biking and some very slow technical downhill sections demanding your every care and attention. The rides will be tailored to meet the needs of the group accordingly.

Friday:
You'll check into your gorgeous four star guest house in Central Carlisle from 4pm. Once you're all spruced up it's time for your perfect weekend to begin.

Party time!:
Jump the queue with guest list entrance to this super cool nightclub. Free bubbly for the group will have you dancing the night away until the club closes at 3am. No need for a taxi, it's just a few minutes walk back to your accommodation.

Saturday:
After a full English breakfast you'll be ready for the fun day ahead.

Burlesque lessons:
It's time to take those dance moves away from the bedroom mirror and transfer that energy from the comfort of your carpet to the bright lights of the dance studio. These dance lessons are the perfect opportunity to learn some new moves to throw into your hip-shaking repertoire and, more importantly, a really good laugh for all the girls.

With corsets, suspenders and feather boas a plenty, this chair-based routine is a great way to get involved with the resurgence of this sexy, tongue-in-cheek dancing style. Ridiculously good fun, you'll have all the moves at your disposal to do some Dita Von Teasing of your own (no stripping required!)

Let's get dancing!:
On your last night you want to go big, and there's no better way to do it than VIP entrance to a super cool club, featuring a New York style disco, a sports bar with seventeen pool and snooker tables and a cabaret club with dancers and drag artist DJs. All the recipes for a smashing time, you'll be supplied with even more complimentary bubbly to give you a night you'll never forget. The club closes at 4am and is just a short walk away from the comfort of your bed.

Sunday:
Party's over and it's time to head home. Before you head off we'll make sure you enjoy a nice healthy breakfast.

Overview:
Swim, climb, jump and explore the coastline as you've never experienced it before. All sessions can be tailored to suit all abilities and excitement needs, so rest assured that you're in for a cracking time! Blowholes, caves and curious sea creatures are only some of the fantastic features that you will encounter on your coasteering route. Personal equipment (wetsuit, buoyancy aid and helmet) is provided and all instructors carry safety, rescue and first aid equipment. Each session will start with a brief that will cover safety aspects, before heading out with your experienced instructor.

Will you end up clinging to the rocks for dear life and refusing to jump? Are you brave enough for the coasteering challenge? Well, there's only one way to find out!

Overview:
Get high in the forest with a thrilling high ropes session. Set deep in the Moor Valley this is a brilliant setting for you to face your fears and swing through the trees like Tarzan.

After being kitted out in all of the essential equipment and a full safety briefing from the instructors, it'll be time to head for the trees. You'll tackle a course of over 30 hanging rope bridges, scramble nets and zip slides which are up to 30ft off the forest floor. You can also have a go on one of the few tree zip lines in the country.

If you are a bit nervous about heights our advice is simple; clear your mind and focus on what is in front of you. Whatever you do don't think about slipping over and you falling head first to your death*.

*This won't happen as you'll be attached by a safety harness at all times so at worst you'll swing in the air for a few seconds before being pulled to safety. Mong.

 

Overview:
It's very hard to beat a good day at the races and if you win, it's even better.

The atmosphere at a race track is always amazing whether you're dressed in your Sunday best in the members' enclosure sipping bubbly or staying casual and snacking on hotdogs all day.

Those that think they know a thing or two can study the form and chew their pencils whilst the others can pick on the funniest name or the best coloured silks. Horse racing covers all the bases and has something for everyone.

Onwards and upwards:
Although it was very confusing trying to figure out quite just what Rocky Balboa was doing scaling mountains and what had happened to his fighting career, Cliffhanger reminded us all that climbing is cool.

Whilst you won't be swinging one-handed from a cliff face sneering and slurring your words, these rockfaces offer a great challenge. After getting some hot tips on climbing techniques and having a practice at low level, participants pair up within the teams with a climber and a "belayer". The climber scales the wall to get maximum points for height achieved while trusting the belayer to keep them on that rope. Don't worry; a qualified instructor will be watching like a hawk.

Excellent fun incorporating some good old fashioned exercise, this should make you feel better about the 20 odd beers followed by the soggy kebab you're bound to encounter in the early hours.

Get pedalling:
Mountain biking is a very popular activity for anyone who can already ride a bike and has a reasonable level of fitness. A mountain biking session would usually consist of a quick look at your personal riding skills and a short introduction to some new skills that will be useful on a ride.

The ride would then be over rough terrain with some very fast sections of downhill biking and some very slow technical downhill sections demanding your every care and attention. The rides will be tailored to meet the needs of the group accordingly.

Overview:
If you’re looking for some top notch outdoor adventure activities set in an area of stunning natural beauty, look no further: this superb activity centre is set right in the heart of the brilliant Lakes District, an ever popular destination for stag weekends.

Horse Riding:
This Equestrian Centre has been established for over 20 years and offers a wide variety of options for both trekking and riding lessons. What better way to enjoy the beauty of the Lakeland countryside and its changing seasons than to get someone else to do the walking for you! We can arrange rides to suit you from a one hour trek or lesson to a weekend riding break.

Do I need to be an experienced rider?
The Centre caters for both total beginners and experienced riders and has a choice of over 35 well mannered and willing horses and ponies of all shapes, sizes and temperaments - there is a horse to suit everyone. They include native breeds and warm bloods and are anything from steady to forward going depending on your experience and preference.

The rides (depending on the weather, ground conditions and the ability of the rider) go along bridleways and quiet country lanes across open fells and through forests. The numerous routes all offer glorious views of the surrounding fells and riders can enjoy the breathtaking scenery of the Ullswater and Matterdale Valleys.

What about safety equipment?
All treks are led by qualified, friendly escorts and B.H.S approved riding hats are provided. Substantial footwear with a small heel is advised - riding boots are also provided. When it’s cold, gloves are a must!

- To ensure the centre has the right horses, each participant needs to supply their height, weight and riding experience details.
- 1 instructor will accompany every 6 riders.
- Allow extra time to kit-up and get accustomed to the horse before your trek.

The performance dance form known in the West as the belly dance is based on one of the oldest social dances in world history, native to North Africa, Asia and the Middle East and it's your turn to give it a go.

Fun for all the girls, you'll get taught how to "pop and lock", shimmy, belly roll and a variety of seductive moves which will have you feeling like an Arabian princess in no time. You'll get to shake those hips and wind your belly under the supervision of a professional teacher who'll bringing out the Shakira in you regardless of shape or size.

Imagine the look on your fella's face when you slide through the bedroom door with a tea-towel round your face showing off your new found skills. Exactly.

Midriffs to the ready, give it a try...hips don't lie!

Overview:
The Instructors take pride in introducing novices to this exciting sport, with the aim of making you a top marksman by the end of the session (well able to hit the thing anyway).

You will start with basic clay shooting to gain confidence and improve your technique, then progress to a competition on three different stands where the traps are varied, some throwing clays towards you, some away and some across.

Licences are not needed, just wear suitable clothing for the time of year, and flat shoes please.

Included:
- 25 Clays
- An instructor
- Gun hire

Note:
- There is no pain when using the proper equipment and there are special guns and cartridges to suit all statures.
- You can increase the package to a 50 clay shoot on request for an additional cost

A 6-wheeled amphibious vehicle. Try your hand at maneuvering around are tight skills course. Sessions from 1-2 hours.

Overview:
This course is one of the most exhilarating off-roading venues in the Lake District, used regularly by Jeep Chryslers offroad driving team.

Landrovers and Discoverys are driven around a specially designed loop around the quarry. With your group in the vehicle, the instructor will drive you around the course to acquaint you with the basic principles of 4x4 driving. Then you will take it in turns to take to the wheel.

Difficult slopes, near vertical drops and meandering courses through the woodlands, along with man-made obstacles such as a giant see-saw, will test your ability to forget what you have learnt while driving a car and develop new skills such as accelerating down steep slopes to retain grip as you test these rugged vehicles near to their considerable limits.

Jump!
For those of you who fancy something a bit more strenuous and rewarding than the average stag-do fare, take to the countryside and try your hands at the extreme sport of gorge walking.

Don't be fooled by the name, your 'walk' will certainly not be a gentle stroll! You'll be climbing, scrambling, swimming in rockpools and jumping into plungepools. You do need a basic level of fitness but the guides will look after you and tailor the walk to match the capabilities of the group

Explore a subterranean world of wonder in this intricate network of Cumbrian caves. Tailored to the wants and needs of each individual group, you'll be wandering through spectacular caverns, squeezing through gaps and crawling through tunnels deep underground. Discover the rocky world beneath your feet in this activity for the real adventure-seekers.
