A magnificent piece of woodland houses this superb shooting ground. Complete with a mighty 10 shooting stands, knowledgeable and enthusiastic instructors, coupled with state-of-the-art traps and superb shooting hardware, this site makes for a cracking day out.
The instructors take pride in introducing novices to this exciting sport, with the aim of making you a top marksman by the end of the session (well able to hit the thing anyway). With a ten stand shooting range there’s no fear of having to wait long for a shot either.
Licences are not needed. Just wear suitable clothing for the time of year and flat shoes.
The session lasts approximately 2 hours depending upon the number of people participating. The session will involve using two different types of trap (this affects the path, speed and direction of way the clay flies to simulate the movement of different types of animal; from a duck dropping onto a pond, to a bounding rabbits and cross flying pigeons). A scoring system is incorporated into the event, to build up the element of competition and provoke after match banter.
