Manchester hen nights

Some might say Manchester, or 'Manchest o' as pronounced by the locals, is the home of attitude, the swagger, music, fashion and all things nightlife. In fact, they could be right. Manchester can probably be credited with being the first city outside of London to bring cool to the masses and set the standard for many of England's cities. However, long gone are the days of The Hacienda and fake ID and now Manchester is studded with stylish bars, clubs and restaurants. With the Northern Quarter, Deansgate & Deansgate Locks, The Triangle and The Printworks there are more places to go than you can squeeze into a weekend.

Manchester is a great city for Stag-dos although a little difficult to get into bars in a group.

Overview:
Manchester has always had trouble trying to live up to the name of other big cities but its time to change this. Manchester is home to plenty of large business operations, not to mention being excellent for students. That being said, people looking to visit for a hen do are certainly going to be impressed.

Getting Around:
The public transport throughout Manchester is extremely impressive. There are day-saver tickets available for a range of services including both bus and trains. This makes a hen weekend in Manchester a lot less stressful. If this is not enough then the majority of the attractions are all in one place, so walking is also an option.

Must see/do:
• Check out the popular Gay Pride that takes place towards the end of August
• Shop till you drop on the high street
• Have a hen night out at The Factory

History and Culture:
Once upon a time Manchester was a tiny city that was simply processing cotton. Then the industrial revolution hit and Manchester soon became a force to be reckoned with. Since then it has gone from strength to strength and is now a one stop destination for education, shopping and hen weekends.

Shopping:
One of the best places to shop on a hen weekend in the UK is the Millennium Quarter; which is certainly going to impress anyone on a hen weekend. All the top high street retailers have stores here and there are plenty of wild card shops as well.

Nightlife:
When it comes to nightlife Manchester has it all. It is well known for its dance music and fans should plan a trip to The Factory which attracts the best DJs. Nightclubbing in Manchester is at its all time high, with local students helping to keep the action vibrant.

Eating & Drinking:
Manchester is home to some of the most popular dining facilities in the UK and top grub can be found on nearly every street corner. The likes of West Didsbury and Chorton are the best places to start off a hen weekend, with a great mix of dining facilities to suit all kinds of budgets. Check out the Curry Mile which lives up to its name with hundreds of different curry shops, all offering a great range of dishes.
