Kendal is a great town some nice pup and a decent nightlife/live music scene! The location of the hotel was terrible tho, right beside the dual carrideway! There was a premier inn right in the center of town which would have been much better!!

Overview:
If your hen party is looking for a scenic adventure then the Lake District is the perfect destination. There are over 60 lakes and unlimited stunning mountain views. Having a hen party in the Lake District is a great chance to enjoy nature.
Transportation:
The Lake District is made of many different towns, each a good distance from one another so bringing a car along is probably a good idea if you want to explore. Keep in mind that parking is expensive and fines are even worse. The roads are very windy so allow for extra travel time.
There are buses in the region but the service is more limited than in a city so keep an eye on the timetables so you're not left stranded.
It is also possible for your hen party to enjoy one of the amazing tours that are offered in the Lake District.
Attractions:
* Take a beautiful cruise on the Ullswater, Derwentwater or Windermere lakes.
* Hike through the mountainous countryside. The highest mount peak can be found at the Scafell Pike. It will take approximately five hours to get to the top so plan accordingly.
* For a more relaxing walk, stroll along Buttermere.
* There are many different places to visit on a hen weekend in the Lake District. By simply grabbing a map your hen party will be able to find many different wonderful destinations to visit.
History and Culture:
The Lakeland Fells are the only true mountains in England. A weekend in the Lake District offers one of the most beautiful and scenic adventures a hen party can experience.
Shopping:
There are no lavish boutiques in any of the towns and no posh, upscale shoe stores or new wave salons but there are amazing shops that are filled with down home folk art and hand crafted unique items.
Nightlife:
There are many different places to get a drink on your hen weekend in the Lake District. There are many different pubs and bars scattered throughout the area. They serve many different brews and some are even local brews so that you and your hen party can get a true taste of the area.
If your hen party enjoys more of a rousing time then you may enjoy visiting the Café 26. It has an amazing selection of wine to choose from. With its contemporary decorations and great wine it is sure to be a great destination to visit during your hen weekend in the Lake District.
Dining:
For a quick snack or a small lunch visit one of the quaint cafes or delicious bakeries that abound. Bryson’s Tea Room is a very well known tea room for its delicious sponge cake.
The 1657 Chocolate House offers every woman a dream come true – cream teas and handmade chocolate.
When it is time for dinner there are many wonderful restaurants for your hen party to choose from. They can visit a sheep farm and try some delicious mutton or visit a pub and get a traditional meal.
