Overview:A treasure hunt is excellent fun if you are looking for something entertaining to do during the day which will get all your party involved and working together. We can arrange pre-set treasure hunts through all the UK's major towns, which involve approximately 40 questions, the answers of which are gained as you walk along your route through some of the most scenic and interesting parts of the town. A treasure hunt is a great way of getting to know the city and also find out some interesting information that you would never have guessed unless you had taken part!Format:You will need to appoint one of your member as 'hunt master'. They will decide how to split up the group into teams and will hold the answers to the questions. The routes are circular, so you will always end up at your start point and it is best if you arrange a set finish time when all the teams have to be back at the start point to hand in their answers. It's recommended for the group leader to then take all the group to a nearby bar, where you can read out the answers, mark off the score cards (this is best done by getting teams to swap question papers and score while the hunt master reads out the answers) and then distribute any prizes (or penalties!) the hunt master has set for the occasion. What’s Included:- Personalised pack (please let us know the stag/hen's name)- 5 printed clue sets (suitable for up to 40 people)- Approximately 40 questions per clue set, following a pre-set route.- 1 set of answers for the hunt organiser.Duration:The treasure hunts will take approximately 2 hours to complete and are designed to be undertaken on foot.
Get high in the forest with a thrilling high ropes session. Set deep in the forest, this is a brilliant setting for you to face your fears and swing through the trees like Tarzan.
After being kitted out in all of the essential equipment and a full safety briefing from the instructors, it'll be time to head for the trees. You'll tackle a course of over 30 hanging rope bridges, scramble nets and zip slides which are up to 30ft off the forest floor. You can also have a go on one of the few tree zip lines in the country.
If you are a bit nervous about heights our advice is simple; clear your mind and focus on what is in front of you. Whatever you do don't think about slipping over and you falling head first to your death*.
- Briefing and guidance from qualified instructors
- All safety equipment
*This won't happen as you'll be attached by a safety harness at all times so at worst you'll swing in the air for a few seconds before being pulled to safety.

Overview:Forget horse racing; this is the real sport of kings. With a fully qualified instructor, you will rotate through a variety of traps (so named because originally they contained real pigeons). You will begin with a 15 clay practice before commencing a 15 clay friendly competition. The instructors are well versed at dealing with novices and will quickly have you blasting the clays to smithereens on the easier traps. They will then move you onto the more advanced ones, depending on how they rate your group’s ability. Bear in mind that the techniques needed change as you move from trap to trap so anyone too cocky after the first few clays may be looking pretty sheepish by the end of the day!
Duration: Approximately 2 hours
Overview:This championship standard clay pigeon centre is set in 50 acres of beautiful Lancashire woodland which is ideal terrain for a top quality shooting session.
Assuming that you are a novice group, your fully qualified CPSA instructor will start your group on a simple going away bird as you learn the basics of tracking the bird and timing your shot. As you get the hang of it, your group will rotate through a variety of traps, each mimicking the movement of a different type of game.
The tensions will build as the competition heats up and the key to success will be your ability to keep cool on the pressure shots (so a well timed sledge or two to your mates could make all the difference!)
A variety of guns are available to suit all sizes and lighter load cartridges can be used if requested to minimize recoil so everyone can happily enjoy this fun and exciting sport.
Duration:Approximately two and a half hours for a 25 bird shoot or four hours for a 50 bird shoot. Note: This quote is for 25 targets unless otherwise stated.
Notes:Hot food and drinks are available in the club house.
Overview:Under the guidance of experienced instructors, participants will learn the skill of shooting clays which is definitely not something that's as easy as it looks!
Format:Groups will meet for a full briefing and safety talk from a qualified instructor before heading out on the shoot. After some practice shots everyone will be split up into teams of approximately 6 and the competition will commence; the instructor's mission being to have everyone hitting the clays accurately in as short a time as possible. Everyone will have the chance to shoot 25 clays at a number of stands. The stands will fire the clays from a multitude of positions to test your shooting skills, each mimicking the flight of different birds (for example: duck, pigeon or woodcock). Everyone's efforts will be scored and the best shooter will be revealed at the end of the session.
Duration:Approximately 2 hours, depending on the group size.
Notes:- No minimum group size; maximum 50. - 25 clays included. - Sandwiches and hot drinks served on Saturdays. Food can be pre-arranged during the week. - Closed Sunday & Monday. - The site features an undercover area that can seat up to 50. - Certificates and prizes can be arranged by prior arrangement.
It's golf, Jim, but not as we know it... If you're a fan of a round on the links, but are more Ferdinand than Faldo, Footgolf is the sport for you. Cack-handed golfers who can't swing for their supper can rely on the good old 'two left feet' and engage in the country's newest sport. It takes place on full-sized, normal golf courses, and will be a great day out for you and the boys.
Of course, you have to look the part, so full golfing attire should be worn, however you can trade in your golf shoes for some kickabout trainers. You'll be using your feet to propel standard regulation footballs into not-so-regulation holes - imagine the 18th hole has just been made by an overzealous greenskeeper with a shovel.
Naturally, it's a game of skill, so bring your best game on the day - and see who makes par, and who the duds are!
- Round of Footgolf
- There is a bar on site where you can puchase Bacon Sandwiches and Beers.
- You play in 4 man teams, and a round will take about 2 hours to complete.
- Must start on or after 2pm so as not to interfere with the Golfers.
- Please note football boots must not be worn - otherwise the greenskeeper will hunt you down. Please bring some kickabout trainers.
It's very hard to beat a good day at the races and if you win, it's even better.
The atmosphere at a race track is always amazing whether you're dressed in your Sunday best in the members' enclosure sipping bubbly or staying casual and snacking on hotdogs all day.
Those that think they know a thing or two can study the form and chew their pencils whilst the others can pick on the funniest name or the best coloured silks. Horse racing covers all the bases and has something for everyone.

Show dear old Mother Nature who's boss by fanging about in a 1000cc Flying Fish Hovercraft. Impress your mates as you test your agility and careen the course. An instructor will be on hand to make sure you know everything you need to before you hop behind the controls of these powerful and exhilarating machines.
Participants will be shown the ins and outs of driving and familiarising themselves with the Hovercraft. Then it’s time to move onto a second course that contains a number of tricky obstacles. Each driver will be expected to navigate these obstacles while racing against the clock in a series of time trials.
- Allow approximately 1.5 hours for this activity.
- Participants must be 17 years minimum. Full instruction given to fly a single engine craft round a prepared course.
