Leave the boozy, sleazy weekends in Prague to the lads and try out the Kate Moss of hen-do's...Llama trekking! Recently announced one of the top 50 outdoor activities by The Independent, this uber hip and quirky activity promises your group a day of hilarity, relaxation, wining, dining and stunning scenery.

Why love the Llama?
Second cousin to the camel (two humps removed) and as cuddly as the innards of an Ugg boot, Llamas are said to possess enchanting qualities which can completely captivate the person walking with it. They are also very receptive and fantastic wildlife spotters. No one is able to explain how or why, but the llama trekking experience leaves you feeling calm, fascinated and utterly bonded to your furry companion. Think that sounds like a load of old mumbo jumbo? Give it a go to find out!

What does it involve?
You and your llama beside you, will take a leisurely stroll through the wonderful countryside, stopping for a picnic on the way. The llamas really enter into the spirit of things by carrying your gear.

The llama trekking on a whole was a good experience. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and the picnic had a good variety and lots of food to eat. Although I did not eat the homemade items some of the group noticed hairs on the food that had been wrapped.

Fantastic. I knew this would be an unusual activity - but had not expected to fall in love with our llamas, and Bill the horse. This was a perfect activity to do whilst ropey from the night before - a peaceful walk through the forest, with a llama to be calmer. The trek didn't last 5h, as advertised, but it was the right length, as 3h is a lot of walking. Sadly, Jasmine the Champagne drinking camel did not make an appearance.

Everyone seemed to really enjoy the llama trekking despite the terrible weather. The picnic was lovely and very well presented. It's a great idea for a hen party as it's sociable and great fun! The llamas were surprisingly friendly and well behaved! The only negative elements were the difficulties with getting there as the postcode provided brought some people to the wrong place. I also think a wet weather plan could be devised as we missed out on a few elements that we were promised such as a llama each. However, overall I would really recommend this activity.
