Cambridge hen nights

Punting on the River Cam is de rigeur if you're in Cambridge for the weekend and the punting pubs lining the river are the mutt's nuts as well. Cambridge is a superb location if you're looking for an activity weekend or a hen party away from the hassles of bigger cities. The clubbing is not as varied as in other places but there are still plenty of places where you can build up a good head of steam and there are loads of more modern style bars away from the river. You'll also be spoiled for choice when it comes to choosing activities for the daytime. Apart from the punting there are the usual hen do options like salsa lessons, clay shooting and pole dancing but also more unusual options: falconry followed by rallying, anyone?

Overview:
If you are looking for the perfect place to have your hen weekend, you should have it in Cambridge. It is one of England’s best cities for history and beautiful scenery.

Getting Around:
Don't plan on driving during your Hen Do in Cambridge. The cost to park is high and the city gives preference to the public transportation services. You can stroll easily around the city as everything is within walking distance. You can also use the public transportation. Lastly, you can ride your bike as there are bike paths. If you are walking, be sure to watch out for these bikers to prevent any injury.

Must See/Must Do:
• Visit the River Cam for a lazy afternoon.
• Walk through The Backs, beautiful gardens behind the colleges.
• Tour Cambridge University
• If your Hen Do in Cambridge is during the warmer months, watch Shakespeare performed outdoors.

History and Culture:
The start for Cambridge came when scholars started the university in 1209. There was a minor dispute in neighboring Oxford. This disagreement gave Cambridge its start. The city and university go hand in hand. The school is so popular due to the many scholars it has produced: Stephen Hawking, Sir Isaac Newton and others. These scholars have included Nobel Prize winners, even more than Oxford. Today, it is known for the scientific and other high-tech advances it produces and is known as Silicon Fen.

Shopping:
There is shopping for everyone in Cambridge. Visit King’s Parade, for quaint shops and souvenirs. If you want more traditional chain stores, visit the Grafton Centre. Market Square is open six days a week. Here, you can find food and gifts and whatever you want to satisfy your tastes during your Hen Do in Cambridge.

Nightlife:
Like any college town, Cambridge has many bars the students and visitors like to frequent. This is a great way for you to meet new people during your Hen Do in Cambridge. The most popular of the pubs is The Eagle but it is often packed with people. For this reason, you may want to try visiting some of the other nice pubs during your Hen Night in Cambridge.
