Bristol hen nights

Bristol, is one of those places everyone has heard about but know little about it. So here is the lowdown: Bristol is good, real good, and certainly one of the best stag party destinations in the county - the variety and quality of activities is superb, the nightlife one of the best in the county, and above all, it is very hen friendly (which is crucial as it can totally make or break a big weekend). If you are going to Bristol, then we thoroughly recommend doing a pub crawl along the quay side, where you can do 10+ hen friendly bars within a couple of hundred metres. For a swing on the standard nightclub theme we cannot recommend the Bierkeller highly enough. You can check out more under the specific listing, but trust us, this is one of ChilliSauce's favourite nights out!

Bristol was fun. Completely different to my home town. Everyone commented on how nice and relaxed a place it seemed even though it's a City. At home people can be quite rude, arrogant and stuck up on nights out. People in Bristol seemed a lot nicer! Would love to go again.

Bristol is brilliant! The hotel location was superb, no need for taxis, and all the venues we went to in the evening were very accommodating of hen and stag dos so I strongly recommend this lovely city!

Overview:
If you are looking for the perfect place to have your hen do, consider eco-stylish Bristol. There is much to do and see in Bristol.

Getting Around:
Walking is convenient because the downtown area features many shops and attractions easily accessed on foot. If you don’t want to wear yourself out during your Hen Party in Bristol, take the bus. There are one-day passes available for £8.30 during the peak season and £7.80 during the off-peak season. To take a break from the bus or walking, take the ferry between the city and Hotwells for £1.50 each way, or unlimited riding for the day for £6.

Must See/Must Do:
• Try shopping at Cabot Circus
• Take a stroll through the food market
• View the city from the Clifton Suspension Bridge
• Try some cider at a floating bar, The Apple
• In July, visit St. Paul’s Carnival

History and Culture:
During the Industrial Revolution, Bristol was considered one the of the top cities in England. It experienced cutbacks because of destruction during the Second World War and it earned a reputation as a lower-class area. This has changed in recent times, since the different cultures inhabiting Bristol have led to many fine exports. One of these exports is music. A big boom in popularity created the ‘Bristol Sound’ in the nineties. Artists included Portishead, Massive Attack and Roni Size. These musicians made Bristol famous and are still noteworthy today. Since the city has worked hard in recent years to be as green as possible, it is now quickly becoming one of the European Union’s greenest cities.

Shopping:
One of the best parts about Hen Parties in Bristol is the shopping. The central location for shopping fun is Cabot Circus, opened in 2008. It hosts 93,000 square metres of retail space. If you want to get away from the big chain stores in Cabot Circus, check out Stokes Croft. There you will find antiques and artwork from around the city. Maybe you can take home something from one of these places during your Bristol Hen Do.

Nightlife:
Finding some fun to do after the sun goes down during your Hen Party in Bristol is easy as pie. There is booming nightlife, including many bars, clubs and pubs. Visit Thekla for a floating club, with famous graffiti artist Banksy's work displayed throughout. If you are in the mood to visit the largest gay club in Bristol during your hen do, go to Flamingo’s for the best in dancing and fun.

Eating & Drinking:
Since there are many cultures in Bristol, the food is just as diverse. You will have fun trying the different types of food during your Hen Party in Bristol. Try the cider at floating cider bar The Apple. Next, try cheese and sausage at St. Nicholas’ market. Lastly, if you are interested in vegetarian food, should try the One Stop Thali Café, sure to make your Hen Do in Bristol even more enjoyable!
