 Overview:
Based on the popular TV series, this treasure hunt will test your teams planning skills and their business acumen. Teams will be judged not only on the successful completion of the treasure hunt, but also on the ability to buy a series of items at the lowest possible price. There will be fines for incorrect items, missing items and lateness. The team who has spent the least amount of money will win.
To earn the list of items each team will need to crack a series of clues which can be found around the buildings, landmarks, plaques, statues, monuments and other quirky features of your chosen location.
Format:
Guests will be met by the event manager, who’ll divide the group into teams (if you haven’t already), brief everybody about the event and deliver each team an event pack. Team packs includes maps, information, clues, a digital camera, cash budget for items, compass and a torch.
The rest is up to the teams. However as we all know, time is money, especially in the Apprentice hunt. Teams will be ‘charged’ for every minute that they take to reveal the six digit code, with financial penalties allocated for missed deadlines and items missing from the shopping list.
The Apprentice treasure hunt uses text messaging technology to build in an innovative and unique twist to this event.
Each team will text their six digit code to our unique number which will not only stop their time, but also send them back their shopping list of specific items to buy at the cheapest possible price from a pre-allocated budget.
Teams will need to plan their treasure hunt as the quicker they complete this part of the challenge, the more time they have to shop for their items and ensure that they get the best possible bargains.
The team with the best time, most items and plenty of cash remaining will be the winners. This method of scoring keeps the final outcome of the treasure hunt unknown until the end, creating a real buzz of excitement as to who has been victorious! The event concludes with a slideshow of the photos teams have taken throughout the day (if finishing venue permits) and a presentation where fun prizes are awarded to the winning teams.
