Overview
Investment Challenge is a new Team Building concept based around the theme of Stock Market Trading.
Teams have the opportunity to beg, borrow and steal to earn inside information on future market conditions, which will enable teams to make their decisions and formulate a winning strategy.
The Game
Teams play the role of "Investment Firms" with the overall goal of wealth accumulation in a stock market simulation. By trading in up to 8 imaginary companies, as well as the world currency markets, teams must aim to maximise the return on their investments.
Teams have to plan and formulate a winning investment strategy based on the information that is made available to them. There is also the opportunity to beg, borrow and steal inside information on future market decisions although heavy penalties can be levied if the dealers are found out.
Although this game sounds very challenging it is great fun which usually culminates in a highly charged atmosphere!
Objectives
The winning ‘firm’ will be the team that accumulates the most money within the allotted playing time. In addition to general trading procedure and imaginative use of inside information, players will also need to be aware of unexpected economic shocks that can create havoc with stock prices and exchange rates.
