
Location – Rockingham Castle:
Built by William the Conqueror, Rockingham was a Royal fortress for 450 years. For the last 450 years it has been home to the Saunders Watson family.
Set in a panoramic location, with views over five counties, the Castle has magnificently furnished rooms of several periods, and is surrounded by 12 acres of superbly contrasting gardens.
Itinerary:
8.45 am - The 60 guests will arrive at Rockingham Castle near Corby where they will be welcomed with bacon rolls, coffee, tea and biscuits.
9.00 am - A briefing will take place into the day's activities at the Castle. At this point the guests will be divided into 8 teams of 7/8 people and escorted outside to commence their activities.
9.30 am - The activities commence.
Activities:
• Quad Safari Riding
• JCB or Mini Digger Driving Challenge
• 4x4 trials driving
• Laser Clays
• Powerturn Buggies
• 6x6 Max ATV skid steer buggies
• Honda Off Road Buggies
• Blind Driving Challenge
NB: At each section point the guests will take part in that activity firstly in practice and then in competition, the marshals awarding the teams points depending on their performance. The scoresheets will be handed in at the end of the afternoon's activities.
12.30 pm - At this point the teams will return to the castle for a delicious two course luncheon.
1.45 pm - With luncheon completed the teams will return outside to complete the remaining sections of activity.
4.45 pm - The activities will conclude and the guests will return to the Castle for afternoon tea and biscuits. The scoresheets will be handed in, the winners announced and the prizes presented to the winning team.
5.00 pm - The guests will depart at leisure having had a thoroughly enjoyable experience.
NB: Please advise the guests to bring or wear warm, sensible clothing and practical footwear (it could be muddy underfoot!)
