An activity with a difference, in teams of approx 10 your objective is to create a “Man” size Catapult with the materials provided in the allotted time.

Once your “creation” time is up each team has to fire their “Canon Balls” (Small Bean Bags!!) as far as they can, the teams are given equal numbers of Bean Bags and it is the team whose overall total distance when the bean bags are fired that wins.

All Catapult structures are checked for overall safety before being allowed to be used, as an exercise it introduces the creative side of engineering, which also allows the teams a chance to fire their Catapult in the hope of victory!
