
Team building challenges can be used in conjunction with other activities to create a varied team building day, alternatively a series of problem solving tasks set in a fun, relaxing environment away from workplace pressures can be great as a stand alone event. The accomplishment of these tasks can be exceptionally beneficial in highlighting how work related obstacles can be overcome by pulling together.
There are hundreds of different games available for team building, below is a small set of examples:
Artesian Well:The teams are faced with a restricted area that contains a virus. The aim is to maneuver the virus from its original setting into another area. This is a multi task challenge, it requires forward thinking and processed planning. It enhances co-operation and communication between team members.
Grenade Launcher:Using the equipment provided, the teams have to construct a launcher and fire a missile across a gorge. The teams need focus and vision to perform the task successfully. This task incorporates an element of fun and competition into the event.
Spiders Web:Hidden in the trees is a giant web. The whole team has to pass through without alerting the spider. This task involves teamwork and planning and promotes the need for trust and reliance amongst team members.
Minefield:This task tests the effective use of communication and trust amongst the team members. They need to work together to create a language using musical instruments, so the skill of listening is vital. This language is then used to guide the team through the Minefield.
